During the lobbying and advocacy workshop by Hortifreshffv at K Hotel - Entebbe, participants learned critical lobbying and advocacy skills deemed vital for their day-to-day activities. These included, but were not limited to, political skills, communication proficiency, teamwork, research skills, networking capabilities, and emotional intelligence. #LobbyingAndAdvocacyWorkshop

Mr. Fred Zake, the Executive Director of Hortifreshffv , highlighted the critical role of lobbying and advocacy in improving policies and mobilizing resources for the sector. He expressed confidence that these efforts would enhance Uganda’s capacity to increase exports. Day One! Horticultural sector players have gathered for a 3 days workshop at K Hotel in Entebbe for skills and knowledge to enhance their lobbying and advocacy capacity for the sector and into their organizations, associations and businesses. TechnoServe MAAIF Uganda

The newly trained and coded quality controllers and sorters of fresh fruits and vegetable exporting company. This helped them enhance their understanding of International requirements and regulations when it comes to FFV export business, to reduce interceptions due to simple mistakes done at the packhouse resulting from lack of basic knowledge on how to handle FFVs.

It "HASS" been done by Uganda... Today marked a memorable event, Congratulations 👏 Mr. Hani Dahlan the director Avotein Farms Ltd for standing the ground to ship 🚢 the first reefer container of Ugandan Hass Avocado 🥑 to Europe 🌍 Kenya has been shipping over 100 containers every month with Uganda doing zero container, this is a new move to Uganda's avocado and fresh fruits value chain.
