#CelebratingtheHarvestSeasonwithOurParticipants! We are thrilled to share that the harvesting season is here for our dedicated participants in the #vegetable-#growing %project. After months of hard work, commitment, and learning. Our participants are now equipped with skills to grow and sustain their own gardens. -The fresh produce reduces dependency on external food sources, creating a step toward food security. -The project has fostered teamwork and mutual support among participants. As they reap their harvest, we look forward to supporting them in exploring markets, learning post-harvest techniques, and reinvesting in their livelihoods. This is more than a harvest; it’s a milestone of resilience and growth. #RELIEFaidFOUNDATION #tomorrowVijana #HarvestSeason #SustainableFutures #EmpoweringCommunities #VegetableGrowing #LivelihoodProjects

This week, we had the honor of welcoming UN High Commissioner for Refugees Mr. Filippo Grandi to #Uganda. His visit focused on witnessing the ongoing influx of #refugees from neighboring countries, particularly Sudan, the DRC, and South Sudan, while raising awareness of their challenges. Mr. Grandi was accompanied on his field mission by Hon. Hillary Onek, Uganda’s Minister for Relief, Disaster Preparedness, and Refugees, as well as Mr. Mamadou Dian Balde, UNHCR Regional Director for East and Horn of Africa and the Great Lakes. We visited the Rwamwanja refugee settlement, which currently hosts over 99,000 refugees, primarily from the DRC and neighboring countries.
