More amazing news for the end of the year, as Mehek has been chosen one of the Top 5 Dance Shows of 2024 by The Stage. This is a wonderful recognition for Mehek, which premiered in February at the NYU Abu Dhabi. Thank you to the entire team, including the Choreographers and Performers of Mehek, Aakash Odedra and Aditi Mangaldas, the Composer, Sound Designer and Singer Nicki Wells, the Set Designer Tina Tzoka, the Lighting Designer Fabiana Piccioli, the Dramaturg Karthika Naïr, and everyone else who contributed to this award-winning performance. We are looking forward to more memorable performances and recognitions in 2025.

📣 Hiring a Marketing Campaign Manager 📣 Aakash Odedra Company (AOC) is looking for a Marketing Campaign Manager to lead the marketing for our upcoming UK tour of Songs of the Bulbul – an award-winning dance show and #2 Dance Show of the Year (The Guardian) and Best Show (Edinburgh International Festival). Songs of the Bulbul will be touring to 8 UK venues between April - July 2024, with majority of shows in April and May. What We’re Looking For: A dynamic freelance campaign manager to take charge of: - Social media, communications, print, and advertising - Collaborating with partner organisations and venues - Utilising existing high-quality marketing assets with support from press/PR agents Ideal Candidate: - Knowledge of the UK dance scene and audiences (especially South Asian work) - Right to work in the UK - Based in or able to travel to Leicester occasionally Fee: £3,500 Start Date: End of January 2024 Apply by 6 January – Send expressions of interest to emily@aakashodedra.com
