We've been 110% spoiled by one of our ISWs in the lead-up to Christmas😍 Anyone in an office knows that this time of year can feel a little chaotic. We're all feeling the mania! New safeguarding guidance has been introduced, offering important updates for those involved in child protection: - Education will not become a safeguarding partner but will be listed as a relevant agency. - Families with children under a Child Protection plan must seek approval from local authorities before home education. - A Single Unique Identifier for each child will improve the sharing of safeguarding information. - New legislation and a review of "Working Together to Safeguard Children" include statutory guidance for kinship care. - Increased oversight and accountability for children's homes. More government investment in children’s social care is encouraging, but we're eager to see how far it goes! 👀 #childprotection #safeguarding #socialwork #socialcare
