"We can't change the logo, but want to relaunch our brand"... Luckily, there's a lot more elements to a brand than just a logo. When we recently worked with ESPRO, a leading eCommerce brand for the mighty french press in the US, this is exactly what we were challenged with. Like always we researched what ordinary looked like for the industry and did the opposite. A very alluring tone of voice, big bold typeface and brand led messaging was the froth on the coffee for this one. 🎄 It'ssss tiiiiiiimmmmmeeee 🎄 We love a good Christmas Ad as much as the next person working in brand, so when Yep Kitchen® approached us for a brand building campaign (featuring their limited edition sichuan box) we squealed like Mariah hitting high notes 🎶 We combined the heat of chillies and the joy of Christmas, both sensations that evoke an emotional response. Yep Kid (the brand mascot) travels far and wide spreading chilli love, like a mini Santa, and this was enough to pull our concept together. This is what happens when you give us a PROBLEM, not a brief... Yep Kitchen® have avoided doing 'Christmas' campaigns before, struggling to connect Christmas with; chillies, Chinese condiments, and a kid who travels through space to share chilli love. Luckily, that's the sort of wild combo we live for 💪 We'd be lying if we said we already had something up our sleeve, BUT we did have all the right tools and methods to imagine the perfect creative campaign for the job. Women supporting women ✨ With only 12.6% of Creative Directors being female and women only representing 26% of people working in technology, collaborating with DevelopHER Awards on their rebrand was a match made in heaven. There's still so much to do for true gender equality, and we're hoping that the rebrand will attract more people, raise more awareness and make even more of an impact on people working in underrepresented industries. We kept the iconic parts of the event, the stars and the pink tones, but reimagined the rest.
