NHS England technical guidence states that air purifier filter life should be at least 12 months. Only this week we heard a supplier selling the idea to a conference of as a little as 6 months! These type of units do not comply due to poor design. To underwrite how much better our design is, including filters, for correctly maintained units Air Sentry will now add an assured 24 month filter life alongside our 10 year warranty. Under our social value policy, we will also offer a buy back of £500 for non compliant units supplied by others against one of our systems. Although these non compliant units shouldn’t be used in clinical areas, they can mostly be used for schools. We will safety check these and then donate them to the nearest state school to the donating hospital. HEPA guidence link below: This is an addendum to HTM03.01 https://lnkd.in/egrm_AfX How to spot non compliant units (really designed for offices) Three easy checks for compliance Open tops (fluids can enter) No UKCA or CE marking (please check yours) Filters being changed under 12 months #airpurifier #airpurification #airpurifiers #IAQ #iaq #ventilation #ventilationsystem Please note we will not buy back products with no CE or UKCA marking

About us
Airsentry® commenced development of our Ultra Clean system in 2001. Today it has evolved into a complete modular system, compliant with UK regulation for health care. It is used in ICU, HDU, Oncology, PICU, Radiology, HIV, A&E, and small OR areas. It has also been used to allow larger OR’s to continue in use when the main system no longer meets current regulations. The system uses a bespoke, unique 5 stage filtration system that came from experience in the Royal Army Medical Corp around CBRN defence work. The system will maintain a room as Ultra Clean to between ISO 7 to 5 for microchip manufacturing, exceeding current hospital requirements. It consists of a series of modules that interact in a similar fashion to lego. The core system maintains a whole room air current, including the corners, and will take an area similar to an ICU room in volume, to being ultra clean within ten minutes. It is able to maintain that level, even with staff and patient movement, after 30 minutes. The system has an expected MTF life in excess of 25 years when serviced annually, and filtration life is designed to be 2 years in a health care environment. Power consumption is very low, using around a simile amount to a traditional 100w light bulb. By removing all particles in the air, the system removes all airborne viruses, including fomites, droplet nuclei, baceteria, spores such as c.diff and moulds such as aspergillum. The system will remove coronavirus including sars-cov-2 / covid 19. In a ward area, removing air as an infection pathway has slowed our clients to follow robust infection control procedures. We have clients whose ICU’s no longer have any hospital acquired infection rates since installation and OR clients who have saved millions deferring a new OR build only to find the air in their OR today is cleaner than a new OR system would provide. We are also supplying to the residential care home market for coronavirus protection

NHS England has warned about the perfect storm, a 'quademic'. Airborne disease that includes RSV, Influenza A, Coronavirus and Norovirus. Factor in C.Diff spores floating around and there has never been a better reason to protect patients and staff from opportunistic infections. Our frustration is that the hierarchy of controls states that PPE, whilst a necessary tool, is the least effective approach. Engineering approaches are the third and removal the best. Our proven air purification systems, the only ones currently fully compliant with the update to HTM03.01, can offer almost instant risk reduction. By maintaining the air as clean, equivalent to a pharmacy clean room, the air is so dilute it is difficult to catch any of these diseases. Not only that, but if they are not wafting around the place, surface cleaning becomes more effective. With over 68% of clinical areas not effectively ventilated, after 25 years of shouting this following message out, isn't it about time you called us? 'You can't catch what isn't there!' A four bed ward can be protected for around £3.90 a day, including maintenance and all consumables. With face masks only being needed in close proximity to patients, this saving alone can cover the cost. Why not enter this winter in control of seasonal outbreaks rather than having them control you? #Ventilation #Quademic #Flu #RSV #SarsCov2 #Norovirus #CDiff #InfectionPrevention #InfectionControl #Seasonal #PPE #NHS

We are delighted, also humbled, to be selected as winner of the #FISConf #HISConf Healthcare Infection Society #DragonsDen for our #Aristotle hybrid #ventilation control and clinical air quality system 🥳 Thank You 🥳 #IAQ #NHS #Sustainability

Greatly enjoyed yesterday’s FIS Healthcare Infection Society conference, plenty of air related topics being discussed and finally widespread reference to the hierarchy of controls where #PPE (whilst important) is correctly recognised as being the least effective approach Spoiler Alert - Elimination at Source is the most effective (our air purification systems remove all known pathogens from clinical area air and maintain equivalence to pharmacy clean rooms (ISO EN Level 8) in occupied spaces) followed by engineering controls at 3 - ventilation (low extract Genesis) and pressure differential Air Sentry has been offering pressure differential within its system design since 2014, our first stand alone units were fitted in London in 2009 Please call if you’d like us to demonstrate to your ventilation safety group (#VSG) #Ventilation #AirPurification #InfectionControl

This petition isn’t perfect however it at least starts a much needed conversation within government regarding clinical indoor air quality (CIA-Q) Our team has signed it for that reason. PPE, whilst necessary, is the least effective approach, removing the hazard the most effective. Air purification (K9) and ventilation achieves removal. Engineering controls such as responsive montitoring (Aristotle) and pressure differential (AirSentry / Genesis) helps isolate and prevent spread. We can achieve better, let’s start the conversation and do it together https://lnkd.in/eAdX-JMR #ventilation #airpurification Brian Mathew Roz Savage MBE The Rt. Hon. Wes Streeting MP Keir Starmer
