Earlier this month, the AJC Group team got into the festive spirit by taking part in a Santa Fun Run to raise funds for the incredible HealthBus Trust. 🎅 🏃♀️ The team ran (and some walked!) 5km along the beautiful Sandbanks promenade, starting and finishing at our office. With Christmas jumpers aplenty, and Sebastian Janes stealing the show as a Christmas Cracker, it was a joyful way to kick off December! 🏆 Fastest runner: Isabella Light, with an amazing time of 24 minutes! 🎭 Best Dressed: George Bravington, for their show-stopping Elf & Safety festive jumper! Thanks to everyone’s efforts, we raised £120 for the HealthBus Trust, bringing us closer to our £10,000 donation target for the charity. AJC Group has submitted a Reserved Matters application to develop a 2.59-hectare site near Sturminster Newton into a sustainable community of 48 energy-efficient homes. The project, combining open-market and affordable housing, aims to address local needs, with construction set to begin in 2025. The homes will feature traditional designs inspired by the area’s architectural heritage. Simon McFarlane MRTPI, our Planning Director at AJC Group, said: “This part of Dorset has a significant shortfall in new housing, and projects like this are vital to ensure local people can remain in the place they call home.” Located 1.1km from Sturminster Newton, the site offers easy access to schools, shops, and transport links, forming part of AJC Group’s broader expansion across the Wessex region. More exciting news from AJC Group! We have received approval to redevelop the former NHS Becton Centre in Barton on Sea into 27 affordable two-bedroom apartments! The three-storey development will transform a long-vacant site and offer much-needed housing for local residents priced out of the area. Simon McFarlane MRTPI, Planning Director, said: “These energy-efficient apartments will give locals the opportunity to own a home in their hometown, creating a sustainable, inclusive community.” The revised design reduces the original plan from 33 units and adopts a traditional style to complement the neighbourhood.
