🎄 The Akeley Wood Carol Concert last night at Buckingham Church was a truly inspiring showcase of talent and community spirit. With choral harmonies, instrumental performances and heartfelt solo pieces, the evening celebrated the joy of the season and the hard work of our students and staff. At Akeley Wood we’re lucky our pupil population includes students from all over the world and from diverse cultural backgrounds. To be successful in life, you have to be able to connect with and form positive relationships with people from all walks of life. So it was wonderful that this week we celebrated our very first: Cultural Awareness Day 🕍 🕌 This event was organised by the brilliant ‘Round the World’ group of Year 10 and 11 students. It was a vibrant and inspiring event, with students and staff proudly wearing cultural dress to represent their country or heritage. 🌍We also created a world map filled with pins marking where our school community comes from or their family origins—a beautiful visual reminder of our school's rich diverse community. 🍗 🍛At lunch, the dining hall was transformed with a menu featuring dishes from around the world, allowing everyone to savour new flavours.
