Following the success of last weeks Beamex event, its time to learn a bit more about our Managing Director David Brown... David, tell us about your career path?   "I began my career as an Electrical Technician, and after serving in the Navy, I discovered my passion for working with instrumentation. I joined GE in 2005, where I spent 15 years working at various sites around the world. In 2019, I made my most exciting career move yet by co-founding Alator Data Services Ltd with my wife, Kerry Brown."   Why did you start Alator Data Services?   "I recognised a need in the market for a different type of business—one that prioritised data quality. After all, bad data is often worse than no data at all. This led to the creation of Alator Data Services Ltd, founded on the vision of delivering high-quality, actionable data through accurate collection methods and expert interpretation. Our goal was to build a business that not only keeps pace with technological advancements but also places customer needs at the heart of everything we do."   What do you love most about what you do? "I truly enjoy my work—it's incredibly rewarding. We have a fantastic team, and while our days can be busy, there's always time for plenty of laughs along the way!"   Tell us a surprising fun fact about you? "I will give you 2! 1.    My life could have taken a completely different path! I was offered a football scholarship in the USA, but when my visa was denied, I stayed in London. What a busy few months it has been here at Alator Data Services Ltd!  ✅ We successfully completed Emissions Monitoring projects in Bangladesh and Italy. 📊 During our LinkedIn Damp & Mould Week in August, we highlighted Awaab's Law and presented our case study. 🎉 We celebrated work anniversaries of our amazing team. 🔧 Our onsite calibrations and E,C&I services were utilised during a recent MVV outage. 💼 We attended the Fintech conference. 🚀 We launched our TrakAer – IAQ system, completing installations in Scotland and Ireland. 👥 We welcomed a new team member, Jacob Scott, and took on an apprentice, Harry Clarke. 🌐 Additionally, our new website has been launched.   Still to come before we welcome in the New Year:  🌍 We will be undertaking multiple Emissions Monitoring projects on the Greek Islands. 🔍 We are advancing the development of our TrakAer-GHG system. 🤝 We are exploring collaboration opportunities with Dundee University for innovative projects. 🏫 We’re partnering with Dundee University and Sheffield University to share best practices on the circular economy. 🌱 We’re committed to supporting environmental goals, striving for net-zero emissions, and aligning our efforts with the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals. 🎤 Our Managing Director, David Brown, is participating in the Beamex Calibration Awareness and Learning Day.  #Emissions #DampandMould #TrakAer #UnitedNations #Sustainability #Awwabslaw #Collaboration
