🌈 We're Here to Help: Support for LGBTQ+ Youth 🏳️🌈 Did you know that 24% of homeless young people (16-25) identify as LGBTQ+? Unlike their heterosexual and cisgender peers, many LGBTQ+ youth become homeless because of their identity, making them uniquely vulnerable. At akt, we’re dedicated to changing this. We provide tailored support for LGBTQ+ youth, from finding safe homes for homeless youth, to giving financial guidance, to teaching life skills to build a brighter future. Unfortunately, the demand for our services continues to grow. In London, over 1 in 4 new cases have to be signposted elsewhere because we’re at capacity.
