  • Microsoft’s at it again – they’re giving 365 and Copilot a makeover! The classic top bar? It’s gone. Instead, Microsoft is going for a sleeker design with your profile, settings, and tools now on the left-hand side. Search has taken centre stage, making it quicker and easier to find your files. And Copilot’s getting even smarter. New AI tools are coming to help you brainstorm ideas and create content faster. Admins, you’ll love the new dashboard that helps you track how Copilot’s being used and tweak settings to fit your team’s needs. Microsoft says these updates are all about using AI to make your work life easier. So, what’s the one thing you wish AI could sort out for you? #BarnsleyIsBrill #YorkshireBusiness #MakeOver

  • Be honest - how many of your passwords are still "password123"? 😅 Microsoft’s working on a solution that could put an end to forgotten passwords and the dreaded ‘password reset’ email. Windows 11 is getting a security upgrade with passkeys. Passkeys are the next big thing in account security. They let you sign in with your fingerprint, face, or phone instead of typing out a password. Microsoft already supports passkeys in things like Windows Hello, but now they’re teaming up with apps like 1Password and Bitwarden. That means you can pick how you want to manage your passkeys instead of being tied to one option. What do you think — is it time to wave goodbye to passwords for good? #BarnsleyIsBrill #YorkshireBusiness #Passkeys

  • Microsoft is making big improvements to its password-free sign-in system, Windows Hello. Why does that matter? Because passwords are one of the biggest security risks for businesses. Weak or reused passwords make it easy for hackers to gain access to sensitive data. A better way to sign in? That’s something every business owner should be thinking about. • How often do you stop and think about your Windows lock screen? Not very often, we’d guess. But there’s a handy update coming that’s worth knowing about. 💻 Right now, Windows widgets — like weather, sports scores, and stock updates — show up automatically on your lock screen. Some of it’s useful… but some of it? Not so much. Soon, though, you’ll be able to customise these widgets. So, if you want weather and traffic updates to keep your team on track, you can add those. And if you’d rather ditch the distracting sports scores and random stock prices? No problem. For businesses, this could be a sneaky way to boost productivity. Imagine your team seeing only the info they need at a glance, with no unnecessary noise to distract them. Do you think this kind of customisation would help your team crack on with their day? Let us know! #BarnsleyIsBrill #YorkshireBusiness #Widgets

  • Love hybrid working? One day in the office, one day in your slippers? 😄 But let's be honest: trying to get everyone in the office on the same day can feel like herding cats. “Are you in today?” “Can I book that room?” “Is there even a desk free?” Well, here’s some good news. Microsoft Places is now built into Teams and Outlook. Think of it like a virtual office assistant that sorts all that out for you – no more faffing about with room bookings or guessing who’s in. ✅ Book desks and meeting rooms easily ✅ See when your colleagues are in ✅ Set your work preferences It saves time for your team and gives business owners handy insights on how the office is being used. Would tools like this make your hybrid setup smoother? Let us know! #BarnsleyIsBrill #YorkshireBusiness #HybridWorking

  • 9th January marks two big milestones in Apple’s story! 📅 Rewind to 2001. Steve Jobs introduced iTunes at Macworld. It was just a basic music player for Mac users - a simple idea to help people manage their media. But look what it turned into! 🎶 The iPod, the iTunes Store... suddenly, music wasn’t just on your computer; it was in your pocket. Then came 9th January 2007. Apple unveiled the iPhone. It wasn’t just a phone - it was a pocket computer. Emails, calendars, apps - all in one device. 📱 On that same day, Apple made a quiet but important change. They dropped “Computer” from their name. It wasn’t about desktop computers anymore. It was about tools that changed how we live, work, and connect. So, what tech product has had the biggest impact on your business or working life? Let’s hear it! 👇 #BarnsleyIsBrill #YorkshireBusiness #Itunes

  • Managing multiple email accounts can be a bit of a nightmare. Well, here’s some good news! Outlook is releasing a new update next month that will make managing multiple accounts much simpler. You’ll be able to move emails between accounts without having to jump through hoops. This is a great for anyone who juggles multiple work accounts, different client addresses, or just likes to keep things organised. But, if you’re using Outlook for your business, the feature won’t automatically be switched on. For security reasons, someone with admin rights will need to enable it. If you’ve got an IT admin, have a word with them now to get ready for the update. If you don’t have an IT admin – well, that’s where we come in! We’re always happy to help businesses stay organised and stress-free. What do you think? Will this update save you time? Let us know your thoughts! 👇 #BarnsleyIsBrill #YorkshireBusiness #MultipleEmails
