In the third installment of ‘AMCL’s Perspectives’ series, Kristen Westall, AMCL’s Asset Investment Planning Global Service Line Lead offers a point of view on: 🔍 ‘What are the top-ten lessons learned from Asset Investment Planning (AIP) systems implementations projects?’ The paper discusses some of the common pitfalls to avoid and key opportunities to increase the success when infrastructure organizations are embarking upon a technology-enabled Asset Investment Planning business improvement initiative. Although organizations can implement and assess their asset management systems by themselves, there are benefits in using an independent third party to perform gap analysis and assess conformance. The IAM set up its Endorsed Assessor scheme so that organizations and their stakeholders can have confidence in the competence and capability of assessment and certification services.
