[Breaking news] Last week, Polish Ministry of Industry, together with Polish Association of Steal Structures organized a 2-day seminar "Polish steel construction industry for the national nuclear power program". 📣 Egis was invited in Jachranka to give a presentation on “Advanced technics / technologies in nuclear industry”. We had an opportunity to share the experience in construction techniques, which will accelerate construction of both large scale and SMR reactors by using modular steel-concrete solutions. 💡 Steel-concrete construction technology involves pouring concrete into prefabricated metal modules. This technology significantly reduces construction times compared with reinforced concrete structures. 📉 The presentation, prepared by Miquel Huguet, was provided by Michał Ruciński and Andrzej Redo representing Warsaw office. 🙏 We would like to thank the organizers for giving us the chance the share our experience. While airports contribute only a small part of this, they have a significant opportunity to drive transformative change. At Ostend-Bruges Airport in Belgium, operated by Egis, we are leading the way to a greener future. 🔆 The Solar Farm Project By Spring 2026, 60,000 solar panels will power both the airport and up to 10,000 local households, generating over 37,000 MWh of green electricity per year. This will make it the largest solar farm in West Flanders and play a key role in reducing the airport’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 30% by 2030. 🔋 Innovation in Energy Storage Equipped with advanced battery systems, the project will ensure uninterrupted access to renewable energy—even on cloudy days—providing Ostend residents with consistent green electricity. 👥 Empowering Local Communities Through a participatory investment platform, residents of Ostend can co-invest in the project and benefit from attractive returns. This initiative not only democratizes access to renewable energy but also fosters community engagement in the region’s energy transition. [Project] The Ohio River Bridges Project (ORBP): the largest transportation initiative ever undertaken jointly by Kentucky and Indiana! 🤝 Running from 1998 to 2017, the ORBP project involved more than just two bridges crossing the Ohio River: it involved a whole reworking of the downtown Louisville interchange system. 🏆 A rewarded project, winning the 2017 National Project of The Year by the American Society of Highway Engineers, among numerous other awards! 🌉 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/esR-m_bq Egis in the U.S.

[Breaking News] Egis awarded by Nantes Saint-Nazaire the project management of Eole, a major port infrastructure platform dedicated to the assembly of fixed and floating offshore wind turbines! 💨 💡In line with the imperative of the energy transition at European and national level in a context of growing energy demand, Eole project will serve as an essential base for the deployment of future wind farms off the Atlantic coast from 2030 onwards. 📌Egis and its partner BRL Ingénierie will provide a complete project management service, from design studies to construction supervision. 📌Egis will also be responsible for providing additional support during the consultation phase, geotechnical studies, project planning and coordination, as well as the management and development of BIM processes. 👏 We are proud to contribute to France's energy independence and Europe's efforts to support the transition to a carbon neutral economy!

[Success story] Following in the footsteps of Antwerp Airport, Egis-operated Ostend-Bruges Airport is celebrating another milestone in its programme to reduce carbon emissions. 🏅 The Airports Council International has just announced that Ostend-Bruges airport has met all the requirements to be awarded Level 2 “Reduction” in the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme. Several measures have resulted in a 22% reduction in the airport’s Scope 1 and Scope 2 CO2 emissions compared to 2019. 📉 💡 These include replacing the airport’s heating system, switching to LED lighting for the runways and terminals, electrifying the vehicle fleet and reducing single-use plastics for airport staff and travellers. Guided by a comprehensive carbon management plan and environmental roadmap, the airport is not stopping there and is already looking ahead to the next stages of the programme, with Level 3 targeted for 2025.

[Breaking News] Egis is pleased to contribute to the development of the first High Speed Rail (HSR) network of Czech Republic! ✍ With Sudop Praha, Moravia Consult, and Metroprojekt, we have been selected by the Railways Administration (SŽ) as the winner of the tender for the design of a high-speed line portion from Prague to Brno in the Svitla nad Sazavou-Velka area, Bíteš section. Egis already has a strong position in similar projects in the Czech Republic, where our team is working on a further 8 planning permit designs for HSL in the country. 🚄 💡 This particular project is part of an extensive high-speed rail (HSR) system that has been under development in the Czech Republic since 2017. The country is actively developing its first HSR network connecting Germany to Slovakia and Hungary, with plans to extend to Romania, as part of the TEN-T network under European financing (CEF funds). The scope of work includes the development of all infrastructure and systems, including trackwork, railway systems, road networks, bridges, EMC studies, RAMS and traction simulations for HSL. Egis is responsible for the HSL signalling (approximately 50 km), a 15-km track section, one station, bridges, and roads in the designated area.
