What a great session! Yesterday we had the second #WestEssexTechForum held at Arise Innovation Hubs at Anglia Ruskin University in Harlow. This session focused on Automation and Ai for SMEs with a fantastic talk by James Howard at Kyte IT Ltd. We also heard from Jack Ellum about the fascinating innovation projects happening at Arise Innovation Hubs. And finally, Forum Convener Val Lynch wrapped up the session looking at her research hot off the press from the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM), University of Cambridge on the pros and cons of implementing AI into business. "It's not everyday you walk into a room with your name on it...literally." We had the absolute pleasure of visiting the team at Cicor Group in Newport recently, to see the Val Lynch Boardroom. Valerie's contributions to our industry were recognised last year at the Electronics Weekly Women Leader's award, where she was awarded the lifetime achievement award. Also, picking up awards that night was Andy Tubbs and his awesome team at Cicor Group. It wasn't long before the two teams were sharing stories and experiences. Fast-forward a few months, and we were honoured to hear that Cicor Group had picked Valerie as the name for their new boardroom in Newport. From everyone at AND, we want to extend our huge thanks to all the team at Cicor Group for welcoming us, showing us the amazing transformation on site, and for giving us a fascinating tour around. It was unforgettable.
