⚠️ Water authorities are set to introduce changes to the infrastructure charging structure from March 2025, which could significantly impact both existing and future developments. ➡️ Infrastructure charges are imposed to handle the extra burden that new connections impose on water supply and sewerage systems. The changes are being introduced with the aim of creating a more sustainable, transparent water sector which can meet current and future demands. ➡️ We’re working closely with our customers to discuss their options and plan for the impact of the changes. Our useful guide explains more about the changes, visit:🔗https://lnkd.in/etjEkWZN 📞 If you have any queries, get in touch with our team on 01204 325 000 or contact us at 📧 https://lnkd.in/eAebaVKa #water #infrastructurecharges #waterindustry #developers #utilitypartner

💙 It’s National Apprenticeship Week (in case you hadn’t heard!) – and today, we’re showing some love to our Graduate Apprentices! Over the years, we’ve had incredible apprentices—dedicated, hardworking, and ambitious individuals who have built successful careers with us. Many have progressed into specialist roles, and some are on the pathway to leadership. 📌 Some key stats we’re proud of: 🎉 23 apprentices have graduated and are still part of the Aptus team 🎉 14 have over 5 years’ service 🎉 Our longest-serving former apprentice celebrates 11 years with Aptus this year! Two of our graduates, Lewis and Ethan, are proof that Aptus apprenticeships open doors to exciting careers—even though they joined through very different routes. 🚀 Lewis Higham started as a business administration apprentice and built a career in water design, earning multiple technical qualifications and mentoring a team of multi-utility design engineers. Now, he’s expanding his skills into electrical design, aiming to progress into management in future. His journey shows how apprenticeships can lead to diverse opportunities in the construction and utility sector. Read about Lewis’ career journey: 🔗https://lnkd.in/eccTzTWE 🚀 Ethan Goulding always had leadership ambitions, joining our flagship Multi-Utility Apprenticeship Training Scheme straight from school in 2019. He qualified in 2021 as part of an award-winning group with some of the highest results in the country. After working as a multi-utility operative, he’s now training as a multi-utility design engineer, applying his hands-on experience in a technical role, and says his ultimate goal is senior-level management. 💪 He believes apprenticeships are crucial to Aptus' success and credits his development to the investment we make in our apprentices. Take inspiration from Ethan: 🔗https://lnkd.in/ecTqaNxA 👀 Thinking about an apprenticeship? At Aptus, we provide the skills, training, and career development to help you build your future. 🏫🤝 Partnerships with Training Providers Key to Success! 🤝🏫 At Aptus, we know that strong collaborations with learning providers are essential for building a skilled workforce. We've previously highlighted our successful partnership with Wigan & Leigh College and University Centre - this has led to nine apprenticeships, covering business administration and finance, and three T Level placements. Today, we’re celebrating the impact of T Levels: in our partner spotlight Martin Banks, Employer Engagement Officer at Wigan & Leigh College, says T Levels address skills gaps by providing high-quality, industry-specific training. They ensure young people gain the academic knowledge and hands-on skills employers need, creating a pipeline of talent. 💡 Why is Aptus a great partner for Wigan & Leigh College and University Centre? Aptus is committed to nurturing talent, providing mentorship, and giving students vital experience through live projects. This hands-on learning enriches their development while helping us to address our skills requirements. 🔑 Collaboration between education and industry is key, says Martin. Businesses that engage with learning providers can help shape training programmes, offer meaningful work placements, and develop the next generation of skilled professionals. 💯 Celebrating T Levels: Skills for Life at Aptus! 🎯 As part of #NationalApprenticeshipWeek, we’re shining a spotlight on T Levels—a fantastic pathway that bridges the gap between education and employment. Designed in collaboration with employers and learning providers, T Levels offer on-the-job experience that prepares students for the workplace. 🤝 At Aptus, we’ve seen the positive impact of T Levels. The flexibility of two-day-per-week placements gives students a deeper insight into our business and equips them with practical skills that can lead directly to employment—like Tom Daly, who joined us from Bolton College and is now a trainee AutoCAD technician. 🗯️ Tom said: “The CAD training I received in the classroom gave me a foundation to build on in the design team. I wouldn’t have secured my current role without taking the T Level route.” Our current 2024 cohort—Tommy Maye and Ben McKay from Wigan & Leigh College and University Centre—who are both studying civil engineering, are gaining hands-on experience in CAD and Design. ✅ Tommy shared: “The work experience is a great addition to my CV and will help me decide what pathway to take next, either further study or starting a career.” ✅ Ben added: “I had no idea about the variety of job roles before I came to Aptus and I’m excited about the opportunities the placement can lead to.” We also welcomed our first Finance T Level student, Joshua, who successfully completed his placement, acquiring valuable industry insight. 💼📊 🎓 We're proud to support T Level learners! Since 2023, five T Level students have joined Aptus, helping us build a future-ready workforce while supporting vital career development. 👁️🗨️ Read more about career pathways at Aptus: https://lnkd.in/euYe_ZKy #TLevels #SkillsForLife #NationalApprenticeshipWeek #TLevelThursday
