    Meet the Arrow Regulatory Biocides experts Dr. Alexander Raith and Dr. Michael Werner at the 23rd International Akademie Fresenius Conference “The Biocidal Products Regulation” from 17 – 18 April 2024 in Mainz, Germany. Michael will be giving a presentation on the challenges faced in the dietary exposure and risk assessment biocides in professional/non-professional use settings. He will also talk about animal safety assessment, residues in edible tissues of livestock animals and their impact on dietary exposure of consumers. Together with Cindy van der Meer from the Dutch competent authority Ctgb Michael will be moderating these two days. The programme of this year’s Fresenius BPR conference will be focusing on biocides updates from the ECHA and member states presenting their experiences in the assessment of endocrine disrupting properties of biocidal products and co-formulants. Further topics will be dealing with renewal procedures, data protection issues, authorization procedures and experiences with biocidal product families under the new BPF concept. An update on legal developments as well as the sustainability of biocides and use of NAMs to comply with the requirements of animal-free testing are further pressing topics in the biocides area which will be presented at the Fresenius BPR conference.
