In a complex world, we’re helping the project profession deliver better. We have over 35,000 individual members and more than 450 organisations participating in our Corporate Partnership Programme. As an educational charity, we are committed to developing and promoting the value of project management in order to deliver improved project outcomes for the benefit of society. The rest of the week was just as exciting, with no corner of the country being left in the cold. From presenting on new pathways to CHPP (and enjoying the sights) in Belfast to an amazing turnout in Birmingham for APM Midlands, it’s certainly been another successful seven days for the team. Congratulations to Transport for Wales on winning the Overall Project of the Year 2024 at the #APMawards . The South Wales Valleys, one of the UK's most socially and economically deprived areas, has seen a transformational investment of £1.5 billion in its railway infrastructure. This once-in-a-generation project includes 170km of electrified track, brand-new signalling controlled from a state-of-the-art Integrated Control Centre in Taff’s Well, £800 million worth of new trains, station upgrades, and the construction of two new stations.
