Congratulations to Transport for Wales on winning the Overall Project of the Year 2024 at the #APMawards . The South Wales Valleys, one of the UK's most socially and economically deprived areas, has seen a transformational investment of £1.5 billion in its railway infrastructure. This once-in-a-generation project includes 170km of electrified track, brand-new signalling controlled from a state-of-the-art Integrated Control Centre in Taff’s Well, £800 million worth of new trains, station upgrades, and the construction of two new stations. An incredible achievement in unlocking economic potential and improving living standards for the region. #APMawards #ProjectofTheYear #TransportForWales
