Say hello to Fern, our new Business Support Coordinator here at Astwoods. With a knack for multitasking and a passion for making a difference, Fern has quickly become an invaluable team member. To get to know Fern more, we’ve asked her some quick-fire questions: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀? My role is to support the wider management team and enhance efficiency. From mastering software to creating fire door certificates for one of our largest projects (1400 fire doors and counting!), my expertise keeps things running smoothly. I’ve even dabbled in some IT, earning me the unofficial title of “Qualified IT Technician” in my second week✨. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗯? I love the variety of my new role and being part of a team that values my ideas and input. “I haven’t worked with such genuine and down-to-earth people in 20 years of office work!” 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘂𝘀 𝗮 𝗳𝘂𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 A former pianist and keyboard player, I’m qualified to teach music 🎹. I also have an amazing long-term memory and remember the minor detailed things from my childhood🤣. 𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗵𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗯𝗯𝗶𝗲𝘀? With three kids under five, you could say my main hobby is juggling family life… though I’m also partial to a well-earned glass of wine! 🍷 𝗜𝗻 𝟯 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 – 𝘀𝘂𝗺 𝘂𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗯..... 🐾 𝗔 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘀, 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 🐾 From greeting the team each morning to supervising snack breaks and lifting everyone’s spirits, Douglas is our four-legged teammate who knows exactly how to keep everyone’s tail wagging. Let’s take a moment to get to know Douglas and discover what a day in his life is like. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀? As Chief Morale Officer, it’s my job to ensure everyone’s day has at least one tail-wagging moment! I oversee team spirit, manage the daily greetings, and ensure everyone takes those much-needed breaks for belly rubs. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀? I monitor snack distribution, supervise the lunchtime floor clean-up, and, most importantly, maintain a strict petting schedule. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗯?  The people! Everyone here knows how to give a good scratch behind the ears. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹? Loyal, full of energy, and a bit of a charmer. 𝗜𝗻 𝟯 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 – 𝘀𝘂𝗺 𝘂𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗯...
