A fantastic day yesterday, celebrating AVK in the UK Expect Awards 2025 at Ellenborough Park in the Cotswolds! 🎉 🏆 Huge congratulations to over 200 nominations, and the 21 winners, as we spent the day recognising the amazing achievements of people from across the four businesses: AVK UK Ltd, Atplas, Fusion, and Glenfield Invicta Ltd. AVK in the UK’s Expect Awards are presented each year to employees who, in the view of their colleagues and customers, have delivered outstanding leadership and service over the past twelve months. Details of the winners will be posted in the days to come. During the day, Sam Warburton, former captain of the Wales rugby union team and the British Lions 🏉, delivered a powerful and insightful keynote speech on leadership. Sam spoke about those that had influenced and helped him on his journey, and explained how the principles of sports psychology were also applicable to peak performance in the workplace. Meet the Atplas Team   We have a great team here at Atplas and we would like to introduce you to some of them. Today it is the turn of Carla Bowkett, our Customer Support Manager who has been in the role for just over 2 years.  Carla manages the internal sales and customer services as well as managing the frameworks and tendering processes for Atplas.   When asked what she enjoys most about working at Atplas, she explains “Atplas are an incredibly supportive company to work for, the customer is always at the forefront of everyone's mind.” She adds “the team are always on hand to help with any queries and are pride themselves in all they do.” Outside work Carla enjoys spending time with her two children and exercising regularly.
