Introducing our recent collaboration with the BBC, designing a vibrant new workspace for their Pop Network workspace on the 8th floor of London Broadcasting House. This project brings together Radio 1, Radio 2, 6 Music, 1Xtra, and the Asian Network together in one cohesive and adaptable environment, supporting the teams shift towards flexible and agile working. Our design vision focused on two key elements: operational functionality and aesthetic impact. Using a concept, we coined as “stationality,” we created distinct, recognisable zones for each station, allowing employees to instantly feel each area’s unique character – all without relying on signage. The space celebrates the individual identity of each network, while also offering a unified “Pan POP” environment that enhances collaboration. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with the Head of Business and Operations for BBC Popular Music, noting the space is “a busy, buzzy environment that perfectly reflects our on-air station personas. We couldn’t be more delighted with the transformation.” Check out our latest case study on how Associate Interior Designer Alex Carron-Brown tackled a unique creative challenge: co-locating five music radio stations in an open-plan space, ensuring each station could listen to its own output without sound clashes while also promoting a strong sense of identity for each team and their guests. https://lnkd.in/ee8dwK-Q Photo credit@ Nick Caville #AWW #Architecture #InteriorDesign #SustainableDesign #BBC #BroadcastingHouse #WorkplaceInnovation #AgileWorkspaces #POPNetwork
