Meet Evri's new branded trailers from Tiger to mark 50 years since its first delivery, manufactured and delivered in time for the Q4 retail peak. This latest order from Evri takes the operator's Tiger Trailers fleet over the 525 mark. A big thanks to David Landy and team as always. Loving your IVECO bio-CNG trucks' branding, too. 🚛 💙 📦 #EVRi #50YearsofEvri #parcels #logistics #roadtransport #haulage #tigertrailers

📢 OCT24 - DVSA has updated the guide to maintaining roadworthiness (GTMR) * New information on brake testing * 📅 From April 2025, there will be an expectation that every safety inspection will include a laden brake performance assessment. ''5.3 (a) Braking performance assessment requirements from April 2025 To follow best practice and comply with legislation there is an expectation that every safety inspection will include a brake performance assessment using either an RBT, a suitable electronic brake performance monitoring system (EBPMS) or a decelerometer with temperature readings. If EBPMS is not used it is expected there is a minimum of 4 laden brake tests spread evenly across the year, this can include the annual test. Where a laden brake test is not carried out a risk assessment detailing the reasons, must be completed by a competent person who understands braking systems and components (for further details see below). If using EBPMS to monitor brake performance, there must be an evaluation of the vehicle/trailer performance report before every safety inspection by a competent person who can interpret the data. The evaluation must be signed, dated, and attached to the vehicle record together with the performance data report. The evaluation and data report may be a single document. To allow flexibility vehicles can be presented for brake testing up to 14 days before the safety inspection date; this allows the operator to conduct a laden brake test during the vehicle/trailer normal activities without the need to specially load it. It is the operators’ responsibility to ensure that the braking performance of any vehicle or trailer meets the applicable requirements of The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, Section 18, Maintenance and efficiency of brakes.'' ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great testimonial from one of our new customers who wishes to remain anonymous. They are not only benefiting from our EBPMS solution removing the burden of roller brake testing but from our TPMS, driving down costs and increasing fuel consumption. Could your operation benefit from EBPMS or TPMS ? contact Axscend | Fleet Technologies ''As we continue to roll out Axscend | TrailerMaster we can already see that not only are we saving time & money on loaded brake tests, but tyre pressure monitoring (TPMS) is having a major impact on reducing costs at our depots. We are reducing wear & tear and saving more tyres from blow out; by simply monitoring the portal dashboard each morning we can get in front of any potential issues and inflate tyres to the correct Psi also contributing to better fuel consumption. We look forward to seeing some major savings at year end.'' #EBPMS #TPMS #EBS #brakes #rbt #tyres #tyrepressuremonitoring #telematics #fleet #fleetsafety #fleetmanagement

A conversation I had with a new customer this week… 🔉 I’ve heard that from April 2025 I’ll be expected to complete every brake test laden? ✅ Yep, from April 2025 there will be an expectation that a laden roller brake test or EBPMS will be the only accepted methods to assess brake performance 🔉 Is EBPMS recognised by the DVSA ? ✅ Yep, its included in the ‘Guide to Maintaining Road Worthiness’ 🔉 So EBPMS can be used to assess the brakes whilst in service ? ✅ Yep, you will only need to complete a laden roller brake test just once at MOT 🔉 Can I fit your system to any trailer type ? ✅ Yep, we can fit to 99% of trailers 🔉 If I de-fleet or off-hire a trailer, can I move the system onto another trailer ? ✅ Yep, we understand that you need flexibility 🔉 I guess it’s more expensive than roller brake testing ? ❎ Nope, it works out cheaper. 🔉 I suppose you need a load of info from me before fitment ? ❎ No, to get started we need the fleet Id’s and chassis numbers as a minimum. 🔉 I can’t have trailers stood down for long periods for fitment, this probably takes hours to install ! ❎ No, we can fit to a trailer in around 30 minutes. What’s more we can train your engineers to install FOC so you can plan alongside routine maintenance. 🔉 Ok, let’s go for it. 🤝 Great, we can start next week! Contact me about our Axscend | TrailerMaster system featuring EBPMS for an upfront, simple conversation.
