It's not easy to spend the festive break having to knuckle down and study for your upcoming SQE exams. But it will all be worth it! Here are our tried-and-true tips for doing revision before the big SQE1 exam in January. 👊 Find a quiet place to study. Your local library should be open and have an internet connection if it's too distracting at home. 👊 The more practice questions you complete in your Personal Study Plan, the higher your chances of passing. We have the data to back that up! 👊 For SQE1, doing Practice Tests A & B dramatically ups your probability of passing, as finding your weaker spots helps you to focus your revision. 👊 Ensure you read through each answer carefully. We explain why each option is right or wrong. Sometimes they all sound the same, but study them carefully as these nuances are important! 👊 Do the Simulated Assessment (and Practise Tests) while you time yourself. You won't have a lot of time to read the long questions and answers and choose the best option, so learn to work against time to help you steady your nerves in the exam. 👊 For SQE2, again, time yourself in the written and oral mocks as you won't have a lot of time to consider your response. And practise answering the oral questions in the mirror, or even better, record yourself! You've got this! Do the last push, you're nearly there. Wonderful away day in Cardiff for the international BARBRI team! Huge shout-out to Monika Mrowiec and Suzanne Staples for organising another fabulous event. We came together, celebrated, formed deeper friendships and threw some choice shapes on the dancefloor with our CEO Stephen Fredette (to the tunes of a surprisingly operatic DJ). A lovely couple from a different event even thought we were having so much fun, they'd join our party! Add to that Belkisa Ferati's birthday, an engagement announcement (congrats Conor Finn!), Peter zhong who came all the way from Shangai, a little bit of competition around a certain spaghetti-and-mashmallow tower challenge, beautiful baby bumps... And, as always, the delayed train back. What a team. Till next year's!
