  • We started the New Year on a high, by donating our corporate box to the Barrie Wells Trust’s “Box4Kids” scheme ⚽. The Barrie Wells Trust provides enriching experiences for children facing serious health challenges. By offering access to an executive box, they aim to create a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere for these children to experience live sporting and entertainment events alongside their loved ones. This is the sixth year that Barnfield Construction have taken part in the scheme, as part of our commitment to giving back to the community. We hope to bring joy and create lasting memories for children and families who are navigating difficult times 💙. #Box4Kids #BarrieWellsTrust #CorporateSocialResponsibility #GivingBack

  • It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our friend and former colleague, Duncan Currie, who left us on Sunday 22nd December 2024. Duncan was a valued member of the Barnfield Construction family for many years, contributing his skills both on-site and in our joiner's shop. Nigel Hill, from Barnfield Construction worked with Duncan for many years. He shared his thoughts this morning - "I worked with Duncan for almost 12 years and it's fair to say there was never a dull moment. I could tell stories about those years all day. The workshop was never short of laughter. Over the years I certainly gained both joinery and life skills from Duncan. He will be sorely missed by everyone that knew him. R.I.P. Duncan." Tim Webber added, "Duncan was certainly one on his own. A real asset to the company and as Nigel has said someone who put his whole heart and soul into his work, but knew how to enjoy himself and have a good laugh. Again with his sparring partner, Geoffrey Currie, hours could be spent recounting stories of them both. I wish all the best to Russ and the rest of the family at this very sad time for you all. R.I.P. Duncan.” Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to Duncan's family and loved ones during this difficult time 🕊️.
