Does your organisation have a sustainability challenge? Would you like a second-year student to analyse the problem, undertake research, and propose an innovative solution? If so, the City St Georges Law School would like to hear from you. For more information, contact Jed Odermatt 📧
Do you work on sustainability in your organisation? City St George’s, University of London, is looking for partners for their #Sustainability and #ClimateChange Module. This is an interdisciplinary module delivered to 2nd year law students. Our Leading Edge programme will provide you with an opportunity to explore what leadership means and to develop your own leadership style, focussing on how to apply key elements of outstanding leadership in practice and taking away tools and approaches to put into immediate practice. It's perfect for those who are already leading and managing people and/or projects but haven't had the chance to focus on their development yet, or those who are considering moving into leadership roles in the near future. Here is our fabulous cohort from last year with Lisa Barry, who enjoyed sessions on leadership styles, personal growth, leading teams and individuals, managing change, effective communication - and many other topics! Do you want to join us this year? Apply here: https://lnkd.in/euKFrANR
Last week Margaret Smith and I facilitated the final module of CCE's newest leadership programme, Leading Edge. What an inspirational group of new leaders we had with us! Every session gave us thought-provoking discussions and 'aha' moments - I love working with leaders in our sector 😍 #BayesCCE

Thank you Association of Chairs for quoting the Future Charity Chair report in your 'A Chair's Compass' resource! Download the Future Charity Chair report here: https://lnkd.in/epY88-KV
A Chair's Compass is one of our most impactful resources, guiding chairs in their role since version one was released over a decade ago. Download the brand new update for free: https://lnkd.in/gzQesga Due to the history and journey of this sector-leading resource, we have many to thank for its development! Funding from City Bridge Foundation and CCLA Investment Management made this guide possible, as did the support of the Lord Mayor’s Charity Leadership Programme (LMCLP) and the Cass (now Bayes) Centre for Charity Effectiveness (CCE). The original editorial panel of Helen Baker, Dorothy Dalton, Tony Harrop, Linda Laurance, Neil Morrick, and John Thompson were foundational in creating A Chair's Compass, as was Angela Eden, who undertook a series of interviews with members of the Association of Chairs. Thank you to those who volunteered their time to review this updated 2024 version: Jane Hustwit, Malcolm John, ruth lesirge, Rosalind Oakley, Francine Peyroux-Sissoko, Diane Reid, Rashmi Rungta, and Julia Tybura. Finally, our thanks go to all those who have generously shared their thoughts and experiences with us. Please share with your networks of chairs, trustees, and leaders of not-for-profit organisations. Image description for accessibility: 'A Chair's Compass' reads white writing on a mauve background. A large pink compass icon is in the background. White Association of Chairs logo bottom left corner. ACEVO | NCVO

"Today we celebrate and pay tribute to the millions of citizens worldwide who volunteer. As campaigners, service providers, trustees and good neighbours, they bring their passion, commitment and humanity to change the world for the better. Let's also give a shoutout to the volunteer managers - an often-undervalued profession - who do so much to maximise the impact of this glorious movement for both society and volunteer." - Dr Justin Davis Smith CBE #InternationalVolunteerDay #VolunteerDay2024 If you're looking to build a career in the voluntary, community and charity sector, take a look at our MSc Voluntary Sector Management.
