Christmas is coming, and that means you'll need a plan for recycling your real Christmas tree! 🎄 Luckily we've got you covered: we're sponsoring the tree recycling scheme organised every year by Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice to raise much-needed funds. We were delighted to welcome Timothy Jennings, Philippa Colley and Ellie Mae Brumley from the hospice to our factory yesterday. They were on site to shoot a promotional video for the Christmas tree scheme and were interested to see how our own recycling messages tie in with their campaign. If you'd like Bluebell Wood to recycle your tree in January you can find more details here: https://lnkd.in/eNVD2jHR

It's amazing the people you meet who used to work at Beatson Clark! Our Marketing Manager Charlotte Pike had a wonderful time at Clifton Park Museum in #Rotherham where the BME Young People and Carers group were holding a special Beatson Clark event. Retired former colleagues from the Asian community shared their amazing stories of how they came to the UK in the 1960s, found work at our factory and went on to work with us for decades. "I've met some lovely people tonight who all spoke very highly of their time at Beatson Clark and made me feel very lucky about working for such a welcoming company," said Charlotte. "Still today we are a family business with generations of the same families from many backgrounds forging their careers in the glass industry, and if you walk round our factory you will find a proud workforce. "The heart-warming memories I've heard tonight have a place in our history and I feel honoured they could share them with me." #glassmanufacturing #historyofglass #cliftonparkmuseum #glasspackaging

He may have blisters on his feet and aching knees, but Trevor Gane doesn't mind because he's raised £360 for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice! Trevor is our Quality Assurance and Technical Assistant, and he bravely ran the Doncaster 10K on Sunday to support one of our favourite charities. He raised £180 in sponsorship and we've matched that amount from our new Community Engagement Fund to help our friends at Bluebell Wood. Doesn't Trev look smart in his on-brand running kit!
