Binnies were thrilled to join the WaterAid Scotland Quiz Night! Thanks to Scottish Water’s longstanding partnership with WaterAid, critical funds continue to be raised, making a real difference. It was a fun and engaging evening, but it also served as a sobering reminder of the challenges faced in Malawi. Through the incredible efforts of Scottish Water and its Delivery Partners, over £28,000 was raised on the night. This vital contribution will support Malawi, where 1 in 3 people lack access to clean water, 13.8 million have no decent toilets, and 3,100 children lose their lives every year. Binnies are delighted to be supporting Thames Water to better understand the condition of their clean water network.  Binnies have successfully delivered the first two phases of pipeline condition assessment surveys using the innovative Dynamic Response Imaging™ technology from our strategic partners KenWave Solutions Inc. Following successful independent validation of our results, we were awarded full scope of 733 survey locations to be conducted this year.  The surveys are non-invasive, non-destructive and applied without any interruption to service.  All pipe materials and diameters are surveyed using a single technology solution without the need for any enabling work.  The high accuracy and high resolution of the pipeline structural thickness results will keep Thames Water at the forefront of pipeline assessments and enable them to better target mains renewal investment to deliver a sustainable level of service for customers. #pipeline #networkservices #leakage #assetmanagement Stuart White Chris Steele

Binnies has been awarded a position on United Utilities’ AMP8 network modelling framework. This critical framework will support United Utilities in delivering essential services across the North West of England, including enhancing flood resilience, optimising wastewater infrastructure and ensuring sustainable, high-quality water management. The framework, valued at £42 million over an initial five-year term, includes options for a five-year extension plus an additional one-year extension, making it an 11-year strategic partnership.
