I've posted before about the 'Foundry', which we launched to inspire creativity and digital transformation, helping staff innovate, improve services and save money. Birmingham City Council delivers insights & efficiency with public data marketplace ❓ How can local government transform vast amounts of raw data into actionable insights to better serve its community of citizens and businesses? Our Household Recycling Centres have extended opening hours during this time of industrial action and lots of capacity Here’s a quick guide of what can be accepted at the city’s recycling centres: ✅ all of your household recycling that would normally go in your kerbside bins including glass bottles, jars, plastic bottles, tubs and tray (rinsed and clean) ✅ ‘Out with the old, in with the new’ doesn’t necessarily mean it’s destined for the bin - donate items in good working order for reuse so someone else can enjoy it ✅Electricals that don’t work - don’t put these in your bins at home, recycle them at HRCs 📋 The full list of materials accepted at the HRCs can be found on the website 👇
