🎉 BizEd Digital Hub Achievements So Far 🎉 Firstly a HUGE thank you to our wonderful Digital Champions who have given countless hours to support our BizEd community! World’s biggest thank you to… 🧡 Carla, Anthony, Emma, Sharon, Catherine, Lisa, Patrick, Casper, Seb, Karen, and new Lisa! (And to anyone we’ve missed, your contribution hasn’t gone unnoticed.) Since our first Open Day on International Women’s Day, Friday 8th March 2024, we’ve made significant progress together. Here’s a quick look at what we’ve achieved so far: 💡 What We’ve Delivered 57 sessions hosted at the Hub. An average of 3 volunteers per session supporting our learners. 342 hours of learning support provided to our community! 🌟 Why Our Learners Come to Us Here’s just a glimpse of the diverse questions we’ve tackled together “What is a podcast?” “How do I upload my CV to Indeed?” “How do I delete 150 baby pics?” “What is a QR code? “I’ve been scammed—can you help me understand what happened?” Our volunteers work as a team, combining their skills and figuring things out together. A favourite moment? When Emma helped a learner who wanted to “take pictures of signs in windows,” which turned out to mean, “How do I scan a QR code?” ❤️ Inspiring Stories Michael has completed 108 modules on Learn My Way, overcoming countless tech challenges. Maureen, who lost her husband last Christmas, was determined to master her new iPad to join her family’s international Zoom chats. Jeanette started with no device and no email address. After thoughtful guidance, she now enjoys sending emails, watching Gardener’s World, and exploring YouTube on her refurbished iPad. Every step forward is powered by the commitment of our volunteers and the determination of our learners. As we continue to expand our impact, we’re looking for passionate volunteers to join our mission. Whether you’re skilled in IT, teaching, or just eager to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you! Together, we’re making a difference—one question, one session, one connection at a time.

🌍 Join Our Upcoming Climate Fresk Workshops! 🌱 What’s the Climate Fresk? The Climate Fresk workshop transforms dense UN science reports (like the IPCC 6th Assessment Report) into a collaborative game, making climate change easier to understand. Played by nearly 2 million people worldwide, it’s your chance to be part of a global movement for change! Why join us? This fun, interactive experience breaks down the science of climate change while inspiring hope and action. It’s a safe, non-judgemental space to challenge misconceptions, spark meaningful conversations, and reflect on how you can make a difference. What’s in store? 🧠 Head: Collaborate in groups to organise 42 cards from the IPCC reports. We will explore the key drivers, mechanisms, and impacts of climate change, using the fresk to address misconceptions and answer questions. 💖 Heart: Reflect on the insights gained from the activity and connect with others through meaningful discussions. 🤲 Hands: Map out your sphere of influence and create actionable plans. We’ll share resources, organizations, and ideas to support you on your journey. What’s coming up? We have a FREE online workshop coming up on the 2nd of December 6pm-9pm GMT. Do join us! Here’s what past participants have said: ‘The facilitator was really good at guiding us through the science. It was interesting to hear how other people feel- I am not alone’ 👉 Sign up now! https://lnkd.in/etWcv4ZM Sue Burnell Sarah Clayton

✨ Have you noticed our re-brand?! ✨ BizEd is almost two years old, and like any two-year-old, we’re developing a personality all our own. We’ve updated our brand to reflect who we are today – current, bold, and inclusive. Our new logo symbolises mutual support and unity. It reflects our commitment to collaboration and empowering others to make meaningful change. We’re also embracing eclectic shapes and colours that make us proud to stand out, just like we stand up for those who need it most. We never shy away from hard conversations or challenges. Huge thank you to Kaye Heseltine for our wonderful new logo design and to Sarah Stone for helping in our Marketing Strategy - we are delighted with the results and couldn’t recommend them highly enough! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 👀 Tell us what you think of our new look! 👀
