This week Black Bee Honey will be launching its final EIS community fundraise. Early access is now available here: https://lnkd.in/emFpugab The raise will facilitate UK and international growth which means bringing real honey to more people, continuing the battle against fake honey and increasing the environmental impact by creating more wildflower meadows, a vital habitat for pollinators which has been wiped out since the 1940s. Launched in 2017 Black Bee Honey is now on the shelves of Holland & Barrett, The National Trust, Booths supermarkets and many more. The company is a certified B Corp and has created more than 20 acres of wildflower meadows, investing 2% of sales to Plantlife, their charity partner to deliver real environmental impact. EIS means you can be eligible for receive tax relief on any investment. There’s a link below which explains more: https://lnkd.in/ekMcKvTW Disclaimer: Don’t invest unless you’re prepared to lose all the money you invest. This is a high-risk investment and you are unlikely to be protected if something goes wrong. More info on this on the early access page.

Recently we had the team from Harrods visit us to check out some bees. Luckily no one got stung! Looking forward to building our partnership further in 2024 Morgan O'Shea-Smith, Kate Eastmond, Alexandra Boyle, Natasha Sahins

As March is B Corp month we wanted to share an update on Meadow Mission, an initiative that was born out of the accreditation process. Since 2021 we've donated 2% of turnover to create wildflower meadows, a vital habitat for bees with our charity partner Plantlife International. To date, with our customers help, we’ve planted over 20 acres! We've lost 98% of our wildflower meadows since the 1940's which is a vital habitat for honey bees as well as many other invertebrates, mammals, bats, and birds. Meadows also store carbon. There is some research suggesting that a flower-full meadow can store 30% more carbon than a flower-less meadow. As Black Bee Honey grows and requires more honey we need to ensure there's more biodiversity to support the bees producing it. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/e5Uqr_iy #bcorpmonth #bcorp B Lab UK
