We’re so grateful for the continued support from @MountainWarehouse! 🥾💧 We’ve been able to gift young girls in our community walking boots and water bottles, opening up opportunities for them to experience the outdoors with confidence and ease. 🌿✨ This partnership has been instrumental in fostering a sense of pride and ownership, encouraging long-term connections with nature while promoting mental well-being and physical health. 🌿✨ Together, we’re empowering the next generation to explore, cherish, and protect our green spaces for the future. 💚 #CommunitySupport #OutdoorAdventures #BlackGirlsHikeUK #BGHUK #MountainWarehouse

We spent an amazing day coppicing in the beautiful Epping Forest! 🌳 Coppicing involves cutting down trees in dense areas to allow more sunlight through, promoting healthier growth and photosynthesis for the remaining trees. We also dived into the forest’s fascinating history as a royal hunting reserve since the 1500s and learned about extinct species like wolves and bears that once roamed here. The women loved the activity so much, they’ve already asked us to do it again! 💚 #EppingForest #CoppicingDay #BlackGirlsHike

We partnered with Intent* because they truly understood our community, mission, and dreams and they feel like an extension of our team. Over the past year, they’ve been pivotal in shaping our messaging, refining our visual identity, and connecting us with incredible partners and campaigns that uplift and empower our members. 💫✨ If you’re a CIC looking to scale up, or a brand aiming to genuinely connect with communities, we highly recommend Intent. 💛🫱🏾🫲🏿 Happy Birthday! 🙌🏾👏🏾🎂
The first year in business post! I stepped away from consumer agencies & in-house brands to create something small, lean, and hyper-localised — a representation agency that does the hard graft to pair local governments, brands, and NGOs with networks of underserved, underrepresented micro-communities and disruptors – whilst actively helping grow and nurture those groups and businesses. An antidote to the conveyor belt of campaigns targeting stereotyped and so-called 'monolithic' communities. A year on, I’ve created six jobs for amazing people, Won clients, lost clients, Yet, I’ve never been more content professionally. I’m beyond grateful to my day-one client, Rhiane Fatinikun MBE, who took a gamble on a guy with a laptop who banged on about decks and strategy, AND I wouldn’t be here without the amazing coaching skills of Emma Dale, who helped me quell the fears and go with my gut. The Vision My long-term goal is to help organisations unlearn traditional community engagement models and open new pathways that will reach out to and embrace the hardest-to-reach. Oh and less presentations and more conversations Special thanks to all the amazing staff, partners and clients Black Girls Hike UK C.I.C Sabrina D. Black Girls Hike UK was thrilled to join the Manchester Outdoor Education Trust (MOET) for their Ghyll Head Challenge Weekender in the beautiful Lake District. This fundraiser aimed to support the effort to make the Ropes Course at Ghyll Head more accessible for all children and young people. Our incredible team of women took part in a scenic hill walk and an exhilarating paddle across Lake Windermere. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made the weekend a success. We’re excited to see the enhanced Ropes Course and can’t wait to give it a go next time! https://lnkd.in/eqWUgBNA You can still donate here: https://lnkd.in/ecbDXKp2 #blackgirlshikeuk #BGHUK #MOET #ChallengeWeekender
