Bluespoon loves a collab, and who better than RANGA BEE PRODUCTIONS LTD and Channel 4.0.
The best projects are always a team effort! Just last year I worked on a super exciting pilot show, "King Konan's Trap Door" for Channel 4.0 in collaboration with RANGA BEE PRODUCTIONS LTD. The show would be a new spin on the courtroom dilemmas format with a leading judge, (Konan) two hilarious council alliances (GK Barry and Michael Dapaah) a fantastically funny jester (Specs) oh and most importantly a trap door. The contestants would bring their beefs to the king and his council and after comedic deliberation and a good grilling, they'd either exit stage right or drop through the floor into the dungeon below. (mwah hahah) I was the lead editor and worked closely with the amazing director Ricky Williams and lead producer Shereen Docherty, due to the incredibly ambitious concept and execution of the idea we didn't just create one edit but a mini-series—three 15-minute hero edits for the channels digital youtube platform. Channel 4.0 was impressed with the final product and even screened the pilot series at their head office in London for an intimate audience. Evie Buckley was an integral part of this show's success as the Lead commissioning editor. Fast forward 8 months later and the next season of King Konan has just dropped. For the second run they went bigger and better, more episodes, higher profile contributors, more beefs, more drops and for all this I needed a little help with the post-production. I am lucky to have an extremely good network of talented freelancers and lucky for us the super-talented editor Oliver Bloor was free. We could not have done this job without our assistant editor Drew Collins (who was integral in the first pilot season too). Mike Rayment was our lead producer and I can not praise him highly enough. Here is the latest episode - https://lnkd.in/ehFQq3gx Thanks to everyone involved in this series! It was an absolute joy to work with you all and a pleasure to be part of this show. Being a freelance creative can sometimes be a tough juggling act but if you work hard and stay positive, your energy can be rewarded with beautiful collaborations.
