Introducing our 2024 Champions! 🏆 This past weekend saw the twelfth and final stage of the Bridgestone FIA ecoRally Cup 2024, as the all-electric racing series took to the Italian Dolomites to decide the 2024 Championship. After two days of intense driving, one of our two Bridgestone-sponsored teams – the duos of Guido Guerrini and Artur Prusak, and Championship leaders Michal Zadarsky and Jakub Nabelek – would be the eventual trophy winners... Guerrini and Prusak secured the stage victory in Italy on Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 tyres – and the duo also received the Bridgestone ENLITEN Trophy for the best energy performance! ...but it would be Championship leaders Zadarsky and Nabelek who would claim the title! Driving on various tyres applying our ENLITEN Technology throughout this year’s series, the 2023 Champions held firm to maintain their number one spot in the rankings to take home a second successive title. Congratulations to Zadarsky and Nabelek, Guerrini and Prusak, and every other team that raced in the Bridgestone FIA Eco Rally Cup 2024. The sustainable motorsports series will be back in 2025 with an expanded 15-race calendar, including new events in Scotland, Italy and China – bringing the series to Asia for the first time!

Researchers from Politecnico di Milano have set a new autonomous world speed record! On our ultra-high performance Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres, the university team achieved an astonishing 285km/h in a Maserati MC20 Coupé – a new world record for a production car driven entirely by an AI system. Taking AI technology that had previously been applied to road tests, the team pushed the system's capabilities on the track – the runway of Piacenza San Damiano Airport – with our premium sports tyre maintaining the Maserati’s stability, grip and control. A huge congratulations to the university’s Artificial Intelligence Driving Autonomous (AIDA) and PoliMOVE Autonomous Racing team, which also holds the current all-time speed record for self-driving cars!

This week, the final event of the Bridgestone FIA Eco Rally Cup 2024 takes place in Italy, as we return to the iconic Dolomite Mountains! This year's Championship goes down to the final race, with two Bridgestone-sponsored teams – both racing on Bridgestone Turanza 6 All Season tyres – battling for the 2024 trophy. Good luck to the duos of Guido Guerrini and Artur Prusak, and Championship leaders Michal Zadarsky and Jakub Nabelek – and all other teams pushing the boundaries of electric mobility through the tricky but stunning Italian Dolomites!
