The British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB) fosters and monitors high quality educational and professional standards, so that the general public can be assured that graduates from BAAB accredited programmes are knowledgeable, reflective, competent and safe acupuncture practitioners. ⭐ The focus of the BAAB’s work is the accreditation of higher education level programmes leading to the highest professional qualification in traditional acupuncture in the UK. ☯ BAAB accredited courses offer a thorough grounding in Chinese medicine theory and clinical practice, together with western medical sciences, research and practice management, to provide an integrated understanding of both traditional eastern and modern western approaches to healthcare. 🎓 Students and graduates of BAAB accredited courses are eligible to join the British Acupuncture Council, the UK's leading governing body for traditional acupuncture. 📍There are currently six colleges dotted around the UK offering a minimum of three-years, full time, degree level 6 training. 💻 Visit our 'becoming an acupuncturist' page for more information about traditional acupuncture training. https://lnkd.in/eGGgAAQB

British Acupuncture Council reposted this
This was a fantastic opportunity, and we had a lovely evening. Let’s hope the new government realises the importance of joining forces with British Acupuncture Council to support the NHS. By collaborating more closely, we can help alleviate some of the workload. The staff at the unit were lovely and have opened the door to future talks about collaboration and a referral system.
Last night, we had the pleasure of being invited to the Aylesford Unit at Warwick Hospital to speak with the Affected by Bowel Cancer (ABC) support group. It was a wonderful evening where we shared insights on how acupuncture can support patients, their loved ones, and the dedicated staff. The session was delivered by Michelle Venter third-year faculty member, and Camilla Weaver-Harris a third-year student who is soon to graduate. Both had a fabulous evening and wish to thank everyone for making them feel welcome. Beverley de Valois we took your book along for patient and staff to look at, you can just about see it in the bottom of the photo. It was very well received ❤️. #theacupunctureacademy #acupuncturestudentlife #acupuncture #leamington #warwick #warwickhospital #aylesford #cancersurvivor #cancersupport #bowelcancer #maturestudent #careerdevelopment #careerchange #supportnhs #nhsstaff #britishacupuncturecouncil #fiveelementacupuncture #careerideas #acupuncturecourse #acupunctureresearch
