One of the largest workshops in defence has been delivered by the Vehicle Storage and Support Programme (VSSP) at MOD Ashchurch. The handover of the first workshop facility was achieved last month, providing 5300m² of maintenance and servicing space to support the mobilisation of Army equipment. This is the first of four workshops being constructed under VSSP to be handed into service, and the fifth successful building handover on site this year. VSSP is the largest Army infrastructure investment programme currently in delivery. Once complete, it will provide modern sustainable storage and maintenance solutions for more than 4,000 vehicles, enhancing operational readiness and supporting future capability.
About us
The British Army's Programmes Directorate is at the heart of delivering the Army's modernisation programme: be it the latest equipment, key logistical support, or developing new programmes. We have a key role in enabling the Army’s purpose: 'to fight and win wars from the land' by delivering Army capability and realising the full potential of the Future Soldier. The Army contributes significantly to UK prosperity and growth and through the Directorate, it is revitalising the land industrial base through the Land Industrial Strategy. The next decade of vehicle, digital, infrastructure and equipment delivery will see at least 11 new platforms and nine major upgrades which will support 10,000 UK jobs directly, and a further 10,000 indirectly.’ We will keep you informed of progress through these pages.

Boxer has successfully completed its sea water fording trial at Instow beach in North Devon! The 38.5-tonne vehicle performed excellently showing stability and control moving in the water, proving that Boxer can ford unprepared. This trial has further demonstrated Boxer’s impressive tactical mobility, making it a vital asset for our armed forces in any scenario that requires rapidly deployable infantry mass. This photo was taken by the Amphibious Trials and Development Wing (ATDW). #ProgrammeManagement #ProjectManagement Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S)

Our Army Programmes team recently visited Supacat to learn how former soldiers provide vital expertise to their business. Veterans bring many benefits to the organisation with their first-hand experience of using various equipment in many environments. That experience translates into improved production and better collaboration with the British Army as we develop the products that meet our modernisation needs. you can view the full video here 👉 https://lnkd.in/e2juXV3s #ProgrammesManagement #ProjectManagement

British Army – Programmes are recruiting. We have two further vacancies based either in Andover or Bristol. Our Armoured Cavalry Programme is recruiting for a Project Delivery Professional to join the team as a Programme Integration Lead. We are looking for a highly organised individual who will be a key member of the leadership team, focusing primarily on providing insight information and support in a Project Delivery setting. The successful candidate will be pivotal in making sound judgements on priorities, triaging and progressing urgent activities, communicating direction and requirements from the leadership team and being motivated to drive change at all levels. Full details can be found here: https://lnkd.in/eHtYZpiZ We are also recruiting for a Chinook Safety manager with a strong understanding of Air System Safety Case Management to support the delivery of a complex capability to the front line.
