In the hands of #RenéeZellweger, #BridgetJones remains as beloved and synonymous with British culture as a cup of tea. “I love her,” the actor says as she returns to the cover of #BritishVogue. “And her story is not finished. As long as Helen Fielding puts pen to paper, she’s alive.” As Zellweger prepares to slip back into our heroine’s famous pants for a fourth spin, alongside new love interests #ChiwetelEjiofor and #LeoWoodall in ‘Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy’, released on Valentine’s Day, #BritishVogue passes the mic to #HughGrant for the February 2025 issue’s cover story. With A-list champions like #MeghanMarkle, #AngelinaJolie and #AmalClooney, it’s no surprise that Gabriela Hearst’s Nina bag – named after Nina Simone – is the creation that she’s proudest of to date. “I started with shoes and ready-to-wear, and my friend told me, ‘You can’t be walking around with someone else’s bag,’” the designer tells The Closet Digest, #BritishVogue’s podcast sponsored by Vinted, of the early days of her eponymous brand. “So I worked on this bag for myself; it was for no one else.” Listen to the episode in full, here: tinyurl.com/3w4f2f7j

Over the decades, the fashion show has developed from an intimate affair to a globally recognisable spectacle. Viewers outside of the industry now have almost instant access to these previously closed-off runways via brands’ own social channels, not to mention those of the press, celebrities and influencers in attendance. But what is the purpose of a fashion show today, and who is it for? A new immersive exhibition has arrived to answer just that! Hosted at London’s Lightroom, the show draws on Vogue’s archive, with narration from #CateBlanchett, to offer the audience a chance to sit front row. I thought long and hard about whether to take part in The Or Foundation’s “I Can Count, Why Can’t You?” challenge, which sees people sharing the number of items in their wardrobe. The intention isn’t to shame anyone, but to help us reassess our relationships with our clothes, and to encourage brands to share exactly how many garments they produce every year. As an added bonus, I finally had the closet clearout I’ve been meaning to do for about a decade (including passing on lots of pieces to friends via a WhatsApp group!) Thanks to Elizabeth (Liz) Ricketts, Venetia La Manna and Tiffanie Darke for sharing their insights. Find out how I got on at the link below: https://lnkd.in/ecPjsnyh

SZA’s journey from college dropout to record-breaking, genre-defying, Pyramid Stage-performing global phenomenon is all but complete. What remains, Amel Mukhtar discovers in the December 2024 issue of #BritishVogue, is a deeply personal struggle of never-ending self-discovery. “I am making music from a more beautiful place,” says #SZA, as she prepares to release her feverishly anticipated new album. “From a more possible place versus a more angsty place. I’m not identifying with my brokenness. It’s not my identity.” Read the interview here, and see the full story in the new issue, on newsstands 19th November: https://lnkd.in/es-tHV_T

When #PixieGeldof got married back in 2017, she knew she wanted her wedding dress to be joyous. There was only one man for the job: #PierpaoloPiccioli, Valentino’s creative director at the time. “My wedding dress was just the best thing ever,” the model recalls on The Closet Digest, #BritishVogue’s podcast sponsored by Vinted that explores the stories behind our clothes. “I love it so much and I kept it hanging in my sitting room for like a year and a half.” Listen to the episode in full, here: https://lnkd.in/eEzxy6B3
