Updates

  • New survey data from Brunswick Group finds that while asset and wealth management firms have made efforts to grow adoption of alternative investments among wealthy individuals and their advisors, a lack of familiarity among individual investors presents a key barrier to increasing allocations.    Findings from Talking to Private Wealth: Perceptions of Alternative Investments are based on a recent survey of Financial Advisors and High-Net-Worth-Individual (HNWI) investors in the U.S., capturing their perspectives on the benefits of alternative investments and areas of concern. The data also shows significantly higher interest in the asset class among younger investors. • Concluding the 2025 Young Leaders in Mining Programme Will Carnwath led a robust discussion on geopolitics and critical minerals. Industry leaders explored the African continent's potential to thrive amidst global instability to leverage mineral wealth for sustainable growth. Pip Green joined esteemed panellists to evaluate whether the mining industry is investing in the right technology, research, and skills for African mining's success.   To round off the day, Lutho Mtongana led a future-focused panel with leaders from universities, the private and public sector, as well as industry bodies to consider future careers in the sector and the necessary skills for success.   This year, the Young Leaders Programme gathered over 700 Mining Indaba delegates including CEOs, business leaders, ministers, government officials, students and young professions for pivotal conversations on the shared future of African mining.    #MI25
