New survey data from Brunswick Group finds that while asset and wealth management firms have made efforts to grow adoption of alternative investments among wealthy individuals and their advisors, a lack of familiarity among individual investors presents a key barrier to increasing allocations. Findings from Talking to Private Wealth: Perceptions of Alternative Investments are based on a recent survey of Financial Advisors and High-Net-Worth-Individual (HNWI) investors in the U.S., capturing their perspectives on the benefits of alternative investments and areas of concern. The data also shows significantly higher interest in the asset class among younger investors.
