  • Introducing the official video to celebrate the 20th anniversary BTR Liverpool Santa Dash 2024. Enjoy and thank you. A staggering 8,556 Santas - red, blue, and mini - all signed up to be part of the UK's biggest festive 5K fun run. Let's do it all again on Sunday 7 December 2025 - see you there! You can sign up at https://lnkd.in/d9QxyhCJ

  • THANK YOU SANTAS! That's the first thing we really need to say. What an amazing day we all had at the 20th anniversary BTR Liverpool Santa Dash on Sunday - we've just about recovered. Those smiles, laughter, high fives, and a real sense of warmth. Only in Liverpool. We even had live broadcasts from BBC Breakfast with Kevin Sinfield, who was setting off on his 230-mile Running Home For Christmas challenge to support MND charities. Entries opened on the day of last year's event - and when we closed the doors on Saturday we had 8,556 red, blue, and mini Santas signed up. That's almost 2,500 up on 2023, and the most we've had since 2014 on our 10th anniversary. It's a huge task for a really small team, but every Santa who took part makes it all worthwhile. The shop at St Johns Shopping Centre was open seven days a week manned by Alan, Yvonne, Claire House team members, and a handful of incredible helpers who all did their bit - answering questions, taking entries, giving out suits, and making up thousands of those goodie bags. Big thank you to the St Johns team, and a large group also took part on the day. Official charity Claire House Children's Hospice have smashed their target and are still going. Media partner In Demand Radio threw themselves into the Santa fun. Thank you to Arriva UK Bus for the free bus travel for Santas; and to the Royal Albert Dock Liverpool team for their support with the route. Wonderful entertainment from Rock Choir Liverpool and Katumba. And the most special Father Christmas. Volunteers on the day worked really hard so thank you, including the cadets who have been part of the Santa Dash for 15 years. We've got lots of images to share and of course, the official video by Colin which is always brilliant - and gives everyone the chance to play 'try to spot yourself'! Three words keep cropping up on the video - atmosphere, incredible, and community. And that all comes from you. You're the reason why we do this. We've already got 150 very keen Santas who have signed up for the BTR Liverpool Santa Dash on Sunday 7 December 2025. https://lnkd.in/d9QxyhCJ Shall we aim for 10,000 next year? Why not. We're up for it if you are! Merry Christmas from Team BTR! Claire House Children's Hospice | In Demand Radio | St Johns Shopping Centre | Royal Albert Dock Liverpool | Arriva UK Bus

  • Well just one more sleep. We closed the doors at 8,556 Santas across red, blue, and mini. Just incredible and the most since our Santa Dash 10th anniversary in 2014. Don't forget there is free bus travel from Arriva North West. Remember to give our volunteers a shout out and big thank yous along the way. Enjoy the entertainment from Rock Choir Liverpool, Katumba, and In Demand Radio both at the two fun runs but also at the after party Santa Dash Bash at Gravity Max. Support Claire House Children's Hopsice if you can. Most of all, run safe and have a brilliant day!

  • Claire House Children's Hospice is the Official Charity Partner for the 20th anniversary BTR Liverpool Santa Dash - and they have 385 Santas dashing for them. Claire House is the children’s hospice for Liverpool and beyond, providing the very best care for seriously and terminally ill local children and their families. Please watch the video about Sienna, who is supported by Claire House along with her family, her story is told by her Mum Francesca, from Hunts Cross. This is how much your support will mean to everyone supported by Claire House. Through the Santa Dash, fundraisers have already raised more than £27,000. A donation of £20 could help a family spend their precious last few days together; £40 could help support families saying their final goodbyes; while £60 could help pay for counselling sessions for a bereaved parent or sibling. Every penny really will make a difference. A team of Claire House volunteers will be out and about at the Santa Dash collecting, so if you can drop some coins into the buckets or make a card donation that will go a long way to help children and their families at the most difficult times of their lives. Or you can make an online donation at https://lnkd.in/ephN36Qt

  • Our 8,500 Santas will join mammoth fundraiser Rugby League legend Kevin Sinfield CBE on the start line at Pier Head Liverpool at tomorrow's 20th anniversary BTR Liverpool Santa Dash. Kevin has sent our Santas this lovely video message ahead of seeing you all tomorrow. Kevin will run the Santa Dash with his support team and then carry on to do another 2K to complete his first 7K block. Before heading to the Wirral and on to Wrexham - clocking up 49K in one day. Across the seven days Running Home For Christmas challenge, he will run over 230 miles. Good luck to everyone doing the Santa Dash tomorrow, which is a real achivement in itself. Please be sure to give Kevin and his team a cheer along the way.

  • Santa Dash favourites Liverpool drumming band Katumba are back on Sunday to bang their drums in a very big way. They'll be in their regular spot at the junction of Moorfields Train Station and Dale Street. As Santa Dash and Mini Dash participants pass by, they'll be greeted by the sights and sounds of this talented group. Once all the mini Santas have completed the 1K course, Katumba will bring the event to a rousing close with a grand finale on the finish line. Here's a little taster if you've never seen them in action - enjoy!
