🌍Youth Unemployment Hits Decade-High🌍 Recent reports have highlighted a concerning rise in youth unemployment across the UK, with nearly one million young people aged 16-24 not engaged in education, employment, or training (NEET) by the end of 2024. In Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, this issue is particularly pressing. Peterborough has the highest unemployment rate in Cambridgeshire, with 4.8% of residents unemployed, and 22% lacking formal qualifications. To address these challenges, the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) is collaborating with local businesses, educators, and authorities to equip young people with the skills they need to succeed in the job market.
