Tonight, One Canada Square will be lit in orange to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women 💡🟧 We're proud to be joining landmarks from across the world in illuminating orange in solidarity with the International United Nations campaign. The 25th of November also starts an annual campaign that extends until 10th December, that highlights issues regarding rape, domestic abuse, and other kinds of violence that disproportionately affects women and girls around the world. Your security and safety matters to us. That’s why, regardless of whatever time you are here, there will always be members of our highly trained and engaging security team ready to assist you. Additionally, our Security team have recently introduced the WalkSafe App to our neighbourhood, with the lobby of One Canada Square designated as a "safe space" for anyone feeling vulnerable or unsafe. Spread joy this festive season with the East London Business Alliance annual Toy Appeal 🎁🏓 We're very proud to be hosting the ELBA Toy Appeal for the fifth year, for what we hope to be the best year yet. Your gift can make a world of difference to a child facing challenging circumstances this year. How you can help ✨ 🎁 Donate a new toy (value £10-£15) at our drop-off point in Jubilee Place mall (Level -1) open Monday to Saturday, 10am - 4pm until 20 December 📲 Can't visit in person? It's been an incredible journey transforming our rooftop garden in Canary Wharf. In November 2023, we installed 44 tonnes of biodiverse roof soil using a 150-tonne crane, along with a large volume of biodiverse seed mixes and fytocell to retain water. We also placed bug hotels and habitat log piles to enhance the ecological value.   The team has been maintaining the garden regularly, and it's been a joy to see the plants bloom, especially during the summer months. A special thanks to everyone involved in this project and to our partners at the Eden Project. These little plants have had quite the ride, and it's heartwarming to see the positive impact our partnership continues to create.

First Class BSc (Hons) Horticulture (Plant Science); FISC level 3; Apprentice Ecologist with National Wildflower Centre at Eden Project, studying MSc Land and Ecological Restoration at Eden Project University Centre

We’ve been working on a rooftop garden in Canary Wharf planting out wildflower plug plants for the last couple of days. National Wildflower Centre harvested seed, raised by the Eden Project nursery team, potted on by the horticultural therapy team and now growing in London as a collaborative project between Eden Project and Canary Wharf Group Wharf. What a journey these little plants have had and what a lot of wonderful people involved!

Pleased to announce that The Hershey Company has relocated their London office to Canary Wharf, acquiring a fully fitted, furnished and managed workspace within the iconic One Canada Square.   This off-market transaction exemplifies the strong levels of demand for our turnkey workspaces at Canary Wharf Group and our ability to partner with customers in the design and delivery of a bespoke solution. Furthermore, repurposing an existing fit out for Hershey will enable us to mitigate waste and reduces the reliance on new materials, both contributing factors towards our ESG goals. As part of the transaction we are also providing short-term swing space for Hershey in Level39 whilst we carry out the work, enabling us to align lease dates and avoid double overheads for Hershey.   Thank you to Evelyn Heavens and Sophie Banks at CBRE UK for introducing Hershey and brokering the deal!

In a pioneering partnership with the Eden Project, Eden Dock in Canary Wharf has been transformed into a unique waterfront oasis that connects nature and people. “It’s been incredibly rewarding to see how our initial sketches have turned into this incredible space that people enjoy, and wildlife can thrive in” Kexin Zhu, Landscape Architect. The design introduces innovative floating gardens, linked by pontoons and boardwalks. Planted with native species including perennials, shrubs, and trees, these islands provide valuable habitats for invertebrates, amphibians, fish, and waterfowl. Incorporating freshwater swimming with recreation and respite space, Eden Dock welcomes visitors and residents to spend time amongst nature. HTA worked in close collaboration with Canary Wharf Group, Howells and the wider design team, to deliver a ground-breaking new public realm within the Grade I listed, 19th-century dock.
