Capita Entrust Education is delivering a programme, funded by the Department for Education (DfE) which aims to promote and support flexible working practices in Multi-Academy Trusts and schools. The Schools Minister, Catherine McKinnell MP recently highlighted the importance of flexible working as an option for education staff in her speech at the Schools and Academies show. "Flexible working is now a common expectation in many sectors, particularly among young graduates. I can understand why the practicalities of flexible working might feel daunting for school leaders. After all, teaching is predominantly site-based work. That’s why the Department is funding Flexible Working Ambassador Schools to support those who want to explore this." As Capita Pension Solutions marks its 50th anniversary, we're sharing highlights from the new Pensions Policy Institute (PPI) report on how economic, demographic, and technological changes have transformed pension schemes and retirement planning in the UK over the past five decades.   Did you know that in 2014, house prices continued to rise, outpacing wage growth and making homeownership challenging for many?   Despite legislative advances, the average salary for women aged 40-49 was £18,300, compared to £32,000 for men. Electranet UK Limited, Capita's secure network infrastructure specialist has signed a contract with the University of Sussex to install a new modern, secure, high-speed IT network at the University. Marking another crucial step in Capita Fire and Rescue providing the UK Ministry of Defence with a deployable Fire and Rescue Service to support UK and overseas operations, Capita Fire and Rescue is proud to welcome more Sponsored Reserves to its ranks. Congratulations to the seven new firefighters who graduated from Capita’s The Fire Service College last week 👏 Having completed their initial training, they were joined by three additional Sponsored Reserves for an attestation ceremony – an Oath of Allegiance to the King. 👩🚒 Sponsored Reserves are civilian firefighters who, when called upon, stand shoulder to shoulder with Royal Air Force (RAF) colleagues as they are deployed to support military operations. #CreatingBetter #Defence
