  • 🌟 Social Action in Action! 🌟 We were thrilled to welcome young people from Leeds City College, Co-op Academy Leeds, and Leeds City Academy for an inspiring day of social action and volunteering at CATCH. These incredible students rolled up their sleeves to carry out a much-needed deep clean of our goat, alpaca and llama barns! Social action and volunteering are more than just hard work – they’re about making a difference, building stronger communities, and creating positive change. Together, we learn the value of teamwork, compassion, and the power of giving back. To the young people who joined us: your dedication and energy have left a lasting impact on our farm and our community. You’ve shown what it means to turn small actions into big results. Thank you for being part of something bigger and proving that when we come together, we can achieve amazing things. #SocialAction #YouthPower #VolunteeringMatters #MakingADifference #Teamwork

To coincide with this year's #InternationalKindnessDay, the team at Pentelow Wealth Management held their annual Charity Day at CATCH Leeds, a registered charity, to assist with the maintenance of their outdoor spaces and care of their animals. There are many ways in which you can get involved and help CATCH - from direct sponsorship or donations, to giving your time to help them deliver a project or mentoring young people. • 🌟 Community, Collaboration, and Change 🌟 CATCH was proud to host the Leeds Learning Alliance Breakfast, welcoming 100 guests from a wide range of sectors. We were inspired by the powerful words of Dave Whitaker, Chief Education Officer at Wellspring Academy Trust, and the incredible talent of Graft, a rapper whose story embodies resilience and creativity. The Leeds Learning Alliance (LLA) is more than just a network - it’s a movement. It’s a space where real, long-term solutions for our communities are born and nurtured. At CATCH, we’ve witnessed the transformative power of the LLA firsthand, with several collaborative projects taking root right here through the connections and partnerships it fosters. A special thank you goes out to our amazing volunteers who arrived at 7am to set up and prepare breakfast for 100 guests. Your hard work, warm smiles, and dedication made the event a success and embody the spirit of CATCH. This is not about what we can take, but about what we can give - to each other, to our neighbourhoods, and to the future. If you haven’t already, now is the time to join the LLA. Be part of the movement. Let’s continue building a city where everyone thrives. 👉 Learn more and get involved: https://lnkd.in/ez88SrNw

  • Welcoming Fr Jonathan Fleury to Harehills! 🌟 Our amazing young volunteers had the privilege of welcoming the new priest for St. Wilfrid’s Church, Fr Jonathan Fleury. At CATCH, we embrace diversity and believe in the power of learning from all walks of life. While we’re not aligned to any one particular faith, we’re thrilled to have local religious leaders like Fr Jonathan who are passionate about supporting education and fostering understanding. We look forward to working together in the future to inspire and empower our young people! 💬✨ #CommunityConnections #InterfaithLearning #CATCHVolunteers #BuildingBridges

  • A Celebration of an Incredible Woman: Jean Clennell Last night, we gathered with our young volunteers, friends, and family to celebrate an extraordinary woman: Jean Clennell. Jean’s name has been engraved on the stunning Ribbons sculpture at Quarry Hill, honoring her as one of Leeds’ most inspiring women. Jean’s legacy is remarkable. As the former deputy head of Roundhay High School, her dedication to supporting children and young people didn’t end with retirement. Instead, she continues to give her time and energy to countless causes, including the Rotary Club of Roundhay and here with us at CATCH. From baking delicious treats, mentoring children, arranging trips, and helping with our weekly café shopping to supporting farm duties, delivering food parcels, and welcoming new families to Leeds, Jean’s kindness and commitment to her community are boundless. She is the heart and soul of generosity, and we are so proud to have her as part of the CATCH family. Her name on Ribbons is a perfect reflection of the impact she has made on so many lives and a well-deserved tribute to her selfless contributions. Thank you, Jean, for everything you do. Leeds is a better place because of you, and so are we. 💖 #InspiringWomenOfLeeds #CommunityHero #ThankYouJean

  • 🌟 Dedication in Action! 🌟 Our amazing young volunteers recently took on a huge task - giving the world’s biggest rabbit hutch a deep clean from top to bottom! 🐰With determination, care, and teamwork, they made sure our furry friends have the clean, cozy space they deserve. Their commitment to our educational farm and its animals is truly inspiring. Every little effort makes a big difference, and we couldn’t be prouder of these future leaders showing what community spirit is all about! #YouthInAction #VolunteerPower #WorldsBiggestRabbitHutch #CommunityHeroes #TeamworkMakesTheDreamWork #EducationalFarm
