Cavanna Homes has secured £30m of funding from Lloyds which is an increase of 50% on the previous funding arrangements, and provides liquidity to keep the company safe and to support our growth plans. The deal marks a renewal of our five-year revolving credit facility with Lloyds, which has supported us with bank facilities since 2012. We welcome the Home Builders Federation’s (HBF) State of Play report which highlights the important role SME builders play in delivering much needed housing, infrastructure and employment, as well as the difficulties they face navigating delays in the planning system, policy change and increased construction costs. You will have seen the photograph we shared last week of our Group Managing Director, Paul Moran filming with the HBF at our Cavanna @ Elm Park community in Exeter. Today we’re pleased to announce that Paul was invited to feature in a film produced by the HBF and Close Brothers Property Finance entitled 'From the Ground Up', to support the release of the State of Play report. The video details the positive contributions delivered by SMEs and calls for continued momentum to address the constraints they face, to ensure they can continue to thrive. Speaking about his role in the campaign, Paul said: "I am proud to be a voice for SME builders across the UK and make clear the vital role they play in helping deliver the Government’s ambitious housing target of 1.5 million new homes over the next five years. “SME builders not only deliver energy-efficient, affordable and open market homes, but they also boost local economies, supply chains, and play a significant role in creating a sense of community in towns, cities and villages across the UK.
