This afternoon we paid a visit to one of our supported charities Love, Amelia with Lauren Hall from our supply chain partner Certa Roofing & Cladding Ltd on behalf to f our Sunderland Eye Hospital project, to deliver bag loads of toys, clothing and hygiene items. After looking back at Cambridge Street Collective and Kangaroo Works, it is now time to revisit Elshaw House - another one of our visually striking projects in Heart of the City, Sheffield 👏 Although eye-catching with its black metal façade, the real stand-out feature sits within the fabric of the seven storey office building. The innovative design makes it Sheffield's first zero-carbon ready office block, achieving a five-star NABERS UK rating, an 'Excellent' BREEAM sustainability rating and an EPC rating of A 🍃 This is achieved through technologies including heat pumps, mixed-mode ventilation, cooled slabs and green energy supplies. Huddersfield University - Completed in 2024 Huddersfield University was successfully completed in September comprising of PPC aluminium rainscreen and stone cladding to the external façade. All roofing works were supplied and installed as a fully compliant single ply membrane roof system. We supplied and installed a continuous louvre system to both the high level plantroom screen and the ground floor. We are delighted with the final results and applaud everyone involved for the success of this project.

Cornwall House in Birmingham - Completed in 2024 The cladding package on our Cornwall House project consisted of stepped brickslip columns which were complimented by vertically laid terracotta pilasters and horizontally laid terracotta feature bands. Due to a design change, the structure moved to concrete and away from steel, which resulted in us needing to drill over 10,000 fixings into the structure to support the cladding. Powder coated aluminium recessed flashings and capping's finished the look.

Heart of the City in Sheffield - Completed in 2023 - The Heart of the City project was part of the £470 million redevelopment of Sheffield town centre, which comprised of new workspace, retail, leisure and residential. Certa carried out the roofing and cladding works to Block H2 and H3. Certa’s package of works included –     Stainless steel standing seam roofing  Corten rainscreen system fixed back to standing seam roofing   Single ply roofing  Hot melt roofing  Blue roofs  Vieo standing seam roofing  Plant housing  Cappings, fascias and soffits  SFS framing & weatherboard  Anodised aluminium secret fixed rainscreen panels  Bespoke anodised aluminium feature fins inc. bespoke supports system  Corten steel rainscreen system to walls  Vieo standing seam wall cladding  Louvres/windcatchers We took on the design, supply and install of virtually the whole building envelope (other than glazing).
