Hospitality on the rise—but will the Budget stall recovery? Britain’s licensed premises have grown for the second consecutive quarter, according to the latest Hospitality Market Monitor from CGA by NIQ and AlixPartners. Whilst the sector shows signs of recovery, independent businesses remain fragile. Despite a 0.7% increase in outlets from July to September 2024, the independent sector is still 15.9% smaller than it was in March 2020. Rising costs and the looming impact of the Budget threaten the momentum, putting the revival of small businesses at risk. Encouragingly, the number feeling severely impacted by high costs in Ireland has fallen from 33% last October to 19% in August. However, there are some consumers struggling with the effects of price rises, so value remains a core component of strategies. Explore opportunities for spirits in the rest of 2024 and into next year - https://lnkd.in/gK3YdHKv #OnPremise #Christmas #Hospitality #ConsumerBehaviour #Spirits #BeverageAlcohol
