We recognised new Member organisations, Fellows and Associates for their contributions to Further Education at the Chartered Institution's Admissions Ceremony held at Apothecaries Hall in London, last week. These organisations and professionals advance FE, technical, vocational & professional skills development and apprenticeships through continuous commitment and service, inspiring leadership, teaching & learning excellence, far reaching community engagement and exciting industry collaborations. It is a privilege to bring together fantastic FE organisations and professionals as part of the The Chartered Institution for Further Education (CIFE) and to honour the critical social, economic and cultural impact that FE generates with learners, communities and employers. We were delighted to welcome Lisa Capper MBE, CEO of Sandwell College, and Alan Pease, CEO of Suffolk New College, to receive the Charter on behalf of their colleges. We celebrated several FE colleagues who became Fellows and Associates of the The Chartered Institution for Further Education. These included Dr Rebecca Gater, CEO of Solihull College & University Centre, Andy Berry CBE, CEO of Bridgwater & Taunton College, Keith Smith, CEO of HRUC (Harrow, Richmond & Uxbridge Colleges) and Graham Razey OBE CEO of East Kent Colleges Group . Associate status was conferred on colleagues from providers including The Bedford College Group, MidKent College, College of West Anglia, Middlesbrough College, Lewisham College (NCG), Suffolk New College , New City College, Derwen College & Barnet and Southgate College CIFE was also pleased to acknowledge the achievements and the lifelong commitment to skills education & apprenticeships of John Hyde CBE, co-founder of HIT Training, who received an Honorary Fellowship.
