Congratulations to the team involved in the NHS North West London AcuPebble Project, the pathway for straight-to-test obstructive sleep apnoea diagnosis, which won the Modernising Diagnostics Award category in the #HSJ Awards 2024. AcuPebble is a user-friendly wearable medical device for the diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnoea. The project was created to tackle pre-existing problems with the diagnostic pathway including high cost, long waiting lists of up to 2 years, uncomfortable procedures, and multiple hospital visits for patients. 56 Dean Street, our award-winning sexual health clinic based in Soho, are recruiting two patient care coordinators. These roles are the first point of contact for patients calling or entering the buildings and will maintain professional, mature conduct at all times. This week, we marked #TransgenderAwarenessWeek 13-19 November. The Chelsea Centre for Gender Surgery (CCGS) Patient Champions hosted seven transgender awareness training sessions to mark the seven days of the week, training over 110 Trust staff members. We culminated the week recognising Trans Day of Remembrance on 20 November with a bespoke wreath, aiming to memorialise those who lost their lives as a result of Transphobia. Well done to everyone who hosted and attended these vital training sessions in ensuring we continue to create an inclusive working environment within the Trust. #TDoR

We are proud that our Trust was recognised in multiple categories at the London Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) Awards, for the hard work, dedication and exemplary care our colleagues provide. Congratulations to Susan who was awarded the Long Service Award after a remarkable 41.5 years on the Special Care Baby Unit supporting many families with exceptional care. Patrycja from Osterley 2 was presented with the Chief Nursing Officer Health Care Support Excellence Award, reflecting her exemplary commitment to patient care and support. Velencia from Queen Mary Maternity Unit received the esteemed Health Care Support Worker of the Year award, celebrating her exceptional contributions in maternity. The Trust was also highly commended for our work in widening access and supporting diversity, recognised through our partnerships with the King's Trust (formerly the Prince's Trust), Career Camps, local colleges, refugee and asylum seeker communities, and T-Level programs. Well done to all involved in this important work, highlighting our commitment to inclusive and accessible healthcare for all.

A big congratulations to our 55 staff runners who ran the Fulham 10k this weekend, raising an incredible £11,000. CW+ charity was the official partner charity for the race, as featured in ITV London News. The race, which took place on a road-closed course, took runners on an exciting route around the iconic Stamford Bridge, home to Premier League football club Chelsea FC, as well as through the vibrant areas of Fulham and Parsons Green. A huge congratulations to all the runners who took part and raised vital funds for our Trust. Your support makes a real difference in the work we do. 🎬 Exclusive Film Screening at Medicinema: Bridging the Gap in Health Research 🎬 In partnership with the NIHR North London Regional Research Delivery Network, we hosted the premiere of Trust: Overcoming Mistrust in Health Research"—a powerful EDI Public Engagement film addressing the critical issue of mistrust in healthcare and clinical research. The screening welcomed stakeholders and partner organizations to our Medicinema, followed by an insightful panel discussion. 📽️ The film, led by Dr. Keerti Gedela, Consultant Physician at 56 Dean Street, explores how community research champions, patients, NHS Trusts, and research teams are collaborating to rebuild trust and engagement.
