𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗗𝗼 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲? Scams don’t only cause financial harm to consumers, but they impact them emotionally too. Following research from the Global Anti-Scam Alliance (GASA)’s ‘The State of Scams in the UK’ report, 53% of victims felt a strong emotional response after being scammed. However, 71% of people still did not report the crime – suggesting they may have been ashamed to do so, blamed themselves, or lacked the confidence that their complaint would be dealt with. We need to change this narrative. You can help. Join us on Tuesday, 26 November, 8.30am-9.30am (UK time), for ‘The UK’s Scam Emergency’ webinar.
