#RestoreNature #NatureRestoration #GenerationRestoration #JoiningForces

SHAPING TOMORROW’S WILD 🍀 At Rewilding Europe, we are not so much conference people; we like to be active out there, in the field. But this one we cannot miss! We are very excited to participate in the Rewilding Conference coming up in Cambridge on 17-18 January 2025, organised by Citizen Zoo called ‘Rewilding Futures’ - Shaping Tomorrow's Wild'. What an incredible line-up of speakers and rewilders, and what a great start of the new year! We are looking forward to meet everyone and contribute with three sessions👇🏼 💡On day 1, I am much looking forward to present a keynote together with David Thomas, Director at the Endangered Landscapes & Seascapes Programme #ELSP on large landscape nature recovery in Europe, and the main factors for success so far. This will be based on lessons learned from over 25 landscape initiatives, and more than 12 years of practical work within Rewilding Europe and the Endangered Landscapes and Seascapes Programme – together forming the largest landscape restoration and rewilding portfolio at continental scale in the world 🌍. 💡On day 2, my colleagues Amy Duthie 🇬🇧 and Giulia Testa 🇮🇹 will focus on enablers for #rewilding. Restoring nature is now enshrined in many legal tools and obligations, with the #EU Nature Restoration Regulation being the latest piece of legislation. Rewilding is a cost-effective approach to restoration and can help deliver these commitments. Until mid-2026, EU Member States are developing national Nature Restoration Plans, which will influence where resources and efforts will go in the following years. Learn how Rewilding Europe is developing guidance for policy makers, demonstrating how rewilding can help achieve the ambitions of the law 👩🏼⚖️. 💡Then, my colleagues Carolina Ángela Soto-Navarro 🇪🇸 and Sophie Monsarrat 🇫🇷 will dive into scalable models of rewilding, to build a wilder future for Europe with more space for natural processes, and where people and nature can thrive and benefit. Rewilding models offer scalable and replicable solutions that sustain ecological impact to leverage widespread adoption. This session will present a set of rewilding models implemented on the ground with rewilding practitioners across a wealth of landscapes 🌿. ✍️ See the full programme here, and you can still register 👉🏼https://lnkd.in/eTTSta_u Learning and sharing, we have very good memories of the previous Rewilding Conference in the David Attenborough Building in 2019. For sure, this will be another enriching and inspiring gathering of rewilders from all across the world! #RewildingFutures #WilderEurope #GenerationRestoration #WildlifeComeback #NatureForPeople #RewildingConference #NatureRestorationLaw | Global Rewilding Alliance
