The licensed security sector plays a critical part in public safety and responding to threats as and when they occur. You can help in keeping everyone around you safe by being vigilant about your surroundings. Sarah Jane Cork, our Chief Growth Officer at City Group Security, shares that fostering solid connections with its senior leaders has been essential for developing and reinforcing our core values, vision, and mission. By establishing open lines of communication and collaboration, we ensure that our leadership team have aligned with the strategic goals that shape our identity. Effective relationships among our senior leaders have promoted a culture of trust and transparency, enabling us to work together to articulate our vision. Regular senior leader away days and interactive discussions create an environment where our leaders can share insights and experiences, ultimately fostering a shared sense of purpose and belonging. These connections empower our leaders to be role models in embodying the company's mission, which is invigorating for motivating and engaging colleagues at all levels. By embedding these values into everyday practices, City Group Security cultivates a cohesive culture that enhances colleague satisfaction and drives our success. At City Group Security, we are incredibly proud of our collaboration in preventing violence against women and girls and the broader community we serve. This is certainly an impactful display of the safety and security that women have created, and we were delighted to donate security uniforms to support it. This team effort included our CEO, Simon Giles and his son, boxing the items to send to Luton Women's Aid. Our team is passionate about supporting the Women's Aid Federation of England, led by Nicola Hepburn and Jon Webster Sophia Harper-Booth MSyI, who engages the business in regular initiatives to ensure we support our charity partner. We reference our collaboration daily within the business to ensure we understand the challenges of survivors of domestic abuse and further secured our partnership with Employers' Initiative on Domestic Abuse Gaby Price - FRSA MediaZoo Studios Victoria Hooton Our Safer City Simon Giles Susan Bright Sarah Jane Cork David Rolls Cara Clarke Sophia Harper-Booth MSyI
As part of the 16 Days of Action against male violence towards women and girls, we embarked on a unique mission this year. Partnering with the University of Bedfordshire we aimed to blend our expertise with creativity. Under the inspiring leadership of Adam Braun Gefen Senior Lecturer in Fashion, and our talented Senior Children and Young People Development Officer, Donna Matthews we transformed old security uniforms donated by City Group Security into a powerful display at Luton Point. On November 29th, we hosted a thought-provoking Too Many Names memorial event, honouring the 119 women and girls who tragically lost their lives in England and Wales due to male violence over the past year. To heighten the campaign, we utilized MediaZoo Studios newly launched Raising Red Flying Green campaign, raising a flag for each woman and girl who lost their lives. These flags now form part of our display. Despite having three arts grant applications declined, we achieved this on a £0 budget! This thought-provoking exhibit will be on display until December 4th. If you're near Luton, don't miss it! We are incredibly proud of this initiative and hope to create more pieces for an arts exhibition next year. If any fashion designers or artists are interested in joining us, please message me. We still have plenty of security uniforms ready to be transformed. Let's make a difference together! 💪✨ Sarah Jane Cork, Jodi Summer Williams Victoria Hooton #16DaysOfAction #EndViolenceAgainstWomen #CreativeAwareness #LutonExhibit #CommunityInitiative #TooManyNames #RaisingRedFlyingGreen
